Post a picture of your unicycle(s)

I have indeed a soft spot for many things vintage. And sometimes, even a soft spot for useless things. But I think I‘ll pass on your offer, plus you

anyway.

You could of course gift me the whole uni, so you don’t have to take them off. I hereby promise solemnly to leave the stickers where they don‘t belong. It would admittedly cost me a terribly huge amount of self restraint, but I‘m ready to bring this sacrifice for your peace of mind.
Whaddaya think?

The 26er blue rim scrubbed up well

…And less than a week later, the uni is fixed up :slightly_smiling_face:

Though with a heavy heart I must inform Team No Peel that the L/R stickers could not survive the removal of the surface rust :sob:

That’s a shiny little uni for sure!
Team Peel thinks everybody should should remove surface rust of every unicycle (that still has stickers). No matter what material the frame is made of. NOW.

There is only one true way to eat a banana.

Yes, true when Team No Peel does it while idling on the uni.

it’s easier than juggling while idling. Just gobble dee gob the banana whole. No peeling needed. and no loose parts in the air.
I won’t suck up an unpeeled banana like that though. While idling you all the time in the world to gobble. And often there are small stickers on the banana peel. I leave those on as well for extra taste.

In my case I have approx 20 seconds to fully consume the piece of fruit. All the time in the world :see_no_evil_monkey:

I know, you leave your crank Left Right stickers everywhere. Btw. I never sucked a crank because the stickers make it delicious as you say. How did you find out?

Here is my son’s uni. If you zoom in on the 125 cranks you will see nimbus on the front and QU AX on the back.

And yes there is a sticker on the pedal.

Yep. And it starts with peeling. Then… swallow it.

Not for the no peel club. If you don’t peel stickers, you don’t peel anything. Doesn’t that sound appeeling

After 25 or so years, my Telford was looking a bit worse for wear. It got pretty beat up during trips to Moab, the Badlands, and around Park City. I finally took it to a place that sandblasted it clean, then put a new powdercoat on it. What do you think? It might be ready for the next 25 years!

That is an awesome frame, I have never seen anything like it. I’m curious about the angle of the saddle can you post a picture of you riding it?

The Telfords were designed and built by Geoffrey Faraghan in the late 1990-2000 timeframe. The angle mirrors the angle of a mnountain bike seat. The idea was to have a suspension post work more effectively. Since then, the advent of 3-inch and fatter tires make a suspension seatpost kind of irrelevant. I’ll post a photo when I have a chance. Riding it is still about keeping your body above the wheel.

Gotta love that frame. I remember seeing a video of someone who tried to ride it on a tread mill. That frame was a nice yellow. Must say, I wouldn‘t choose black for such a special frame. Rather, I‘d go with a colour that is a bit easier to see, thereby emphasising the particular shape.
Anyway, hope you enjoy it for the next twenty-five years. If not, let me know, I‘ll make you an offer  .

If it was yellow, it was probably Nathan Hoover. He likes his unicycles yellow. He and Kris Holm had many adventures together–like riding through Bhutan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6DMC8_0Xpg

I found this thread about Telford unicycles on this forum. The picture shows the saddle in a more upright position.

At the time Geoff made the Telfords, he was living in Silicon Valley, doing Oracle programming and teaching computer science at a local community college. Ten or fifteen years ago, he left for a wonderful woman in Oregon. They rode her tandem bike across the US, and came back hitched. Now they run a small boutique winery in Oregon, and live among the grapes. My wife and I rode with them in the Northwest Tandem Rally a few years ago. Geoff is as happy as I’ve ever seen him.
