Pictures of your latest ride

From our group ride on Mt. Tam, March 8, Ashley Foster on the way down. We rode about 15 miles, all the way up and down the mountain that’s famous as one of the birthplaces of mountain biking. I think we had 8 riders.

On March 15, still training for Moab, we had a smaller group at Rockville Hills Park in Fairfield.

  • Me under the Manzanita/Madrone trees
  • Sunshine on the hillside
  • Tom on the rocky and low-hanging Manzanita trail
  • Tom again, avoiding ankle-breakage!
  • Me going down a rocky steep, with housing below (photo by Tom)

Oh, crap! Training for Moab; I knew I was forgetting something.

Shouldn’t you always be ready?

from today’s training (no V ;)):

Terry - Would it be possible to get that into a wallpaper size for my desktop? I’m on a widescreen laptop, 1440x900. If you could, that’d be awesome. If that size makes the pic too awkward looking, a regular one like 1024x768 would be alright too.

jumping over turtles head…

seems like spring has strarted in southern germany …finally…

I was just doing a morning ride around campus and decided to take some pictures. This is only a fraction of the photographic stuff on campus, so I might do this again in a week or two and add more stuff, but here’s some.

Sorry there’s quite a few but the weather was gorgeous and campus is still mostly dead until tomorrow when spring break is over. Also these are all on my phone so the quality isn’t too good but oh well.

Kyle Field, my first true love.

Our humble 9/11 memorial.

Academic plaza.

The Century Tree. I had to be careful taking this picture, cause if you walk under it alone, you’re doomed to be alone your entire life.

The arches in front of the quad, where the Corps of Cadets lives and drills.

The graves of Reveille I through VI, our collie mascot. These are situated right in front of Kyle Field, facing it, so that the spirits of past Reveilles can watch the Aggies play.

Rudder fountain.

Ol’ Sullivan Ross, a famous university president from way back in ol’ army days.

Gig 'em!

That pic was shot in 16:9 format, so I can get it to 1440x810, maintaining aspect ratio. Is that size ok? And if I save it to 1024, the height goes to 576. I can also get 1920x1080, which is pretty big. Let me know and I can send it to you if you PM me your email.

Sick shots!

Separated at birth?

Some stuff from todays ride… All the hops were landed(except for the pictures of me falling), none of the 3spin attempts were successful however they all were VERY close, and the jump over the 2X4 was 21"(I tried 26" after that and face-planted but didn’t catch it on camera because I timed it wrong with the 10 second wait on the camera’s timer). That was pretty much my whole ride today haha

from saturday at local tracks.

Wow thats a nice pic! What program is it?

Phew! there’s so much action in the ‘latest-rides’ pics in this thread! I thought I would come down to Earth with an image from my sedate ride around a lake in Wales, UK today. Here I am at one of my ‘resting’ points on the journey - where I have tea and scones  Well might as well be civilised eh?

This is a regular ride of 30 sedate miles especially enjoyable on a fine day

PS How the heck do I attach images to posts?
