Schlumpf: Erfahrungsaustausch

I don’t speak a single world in Dutch and google translator gave me a headache, but I understand that Eric has got some troubles for shifting, maybe because of short feet.

Why don’t you talk about it in the international thread about schlumpf hub?
You would have more replies maybe.
I don’t have big feet, my EU Size is 42 and I use 150’s cranks.
Since I use five tens high and the following very simple tip, I ankle shift very easily.

When I try to heel shift, my foot touche the crank instead of the button and I find it dangerous.
I also agree that looking downward (to see if the button has moved) makes the balance very unstable.
This is why I nearly stopped to look at my speedometer (which is close to the saddle since the handle bar is set for a muni style) while I ride in 2nd gear, this sometimes finished in scary UPDs

Another tip:
When you try to shift up (without looking at the buttons) you have to wait few wheel rotations before considering that it has failed, cause it still can happen after 4-6 pedal strokes and if you aren’t expecting this, it automatically leads to a UPD.
