ℹ Post Unicycles for sale on other sites here!

For $120, I’m going to find out. Should be able to climb anything on it, assuming I can stay on it. I have to assume it’s squirrelly and harsh, but I’ve always wanted to try a real road wheel. It’ll look perfect in a Conundrum frame with about three inches of clearance on either side.

Here is a strange looking beast,

The wheel is no larger than the seat, I’m guessing a 12" wheel and a 2.5’ seatpost?
It would be interesting to try.
You could get an entire days exercise just riding around the block.

Please tell us how it goes.

This is an interesting one! It looks like and impossible wheel with a training wheel.

Something a bit different!

Cool or crap?

Nice find! Cranks look a bit on the long side. I foresee pedal strikes. The seat’s probably no more uncomfortable than any of them.

Idk…I’d take that seat over my old Torker Torcher any day.

Lol, can’t believe anyone actually bid on that.

I was almost tempted, just to see what the point of it was. I would definitely be tempted by the Lunicycle if they weren’t so expensive. But wouldn’t you think that selling something as weird as that, photos from more than one angle would be a good idea? I assume that it is meant to be used a bit like a skateboard but with the big single wheel in the centre, but without seeing the other side it is hard to tell.

Super comfy looking saddle…

Investment Vehicle

Gives new meaning to the term “investment vehicle.” My wife said “no,” but I’m still tempted.

Dammit, the collection is too far for me…

I’m unsure why the seller wants the sale completed via PayPal, rather than cash on collection. Anyone know?

It’s to avoid any last minute haggling when the buyer turns up on your doorstep, I think. Or any last minute decisions not to buy because you can’t be bothered to make the journey or whatever. With Paypal, the buyer pays up straight away whereas with cash, all they are putting on the nail is their Ebay reputation.

Not sure but it looks in really good shape and I don’t think is that old…

This makes sense

If only I could make the journey to collect it…

Pretty bummed I missed out on this! His bike collection is quite amazing.

It was quite a collection. But you can find a lot of that stuff around at lower prices if the actual bikes interested you more than who formerly owned them. I couldn’t find a way to view gavel prices now that it’s ended but according to the other thread about it, the somewhat shabby Schwinn unicycle had gone over $5,000 with five days left.

I’ve chatted with collectors at vintage bike shows and they seem to turn over their stock at a good rate, selling off bikes they’ve had for a while to make room for something else that’s caught their eye. And except for a few Holy Grails, prices can be surprisingly reasonable.
