Cool! One day(in the far far futur) I’ll come ride in Liechtenstein too! everytime you post one of your Muni rides it looks so awsome! Plus it looks like it’s always sunny in Liechtenstein, it’s raining all the time here:(
thanks, i really appreciat your comment, i post so many pics and there is almost no response… ![]()
sure come over here, i’ll show you the “holy trail”
, i’ve to say, liechtenstein is very, very small (27km long and 7km wide
), so lots of the trails i ride are in switzerland or austria.
Wow awesome pictures everyone :O!
Turtle, my apologies for my lack of response to your pictures. I think it’s because I’m usually stunned into silence by the awesomeness of where you ride or the beauty of the scenary.
Please keep posting the pictures!
I know, I did a school project on Liechtenstein last year:p I know alot on Liechtenstein:)
Stopped at a cafe and one brave individual just wanted to ride the unicycle so badly - so gave it to him.
The photo shows how much attention the unicyle gets as people gathered around to watch the dude try and mount it. Off camera there were many more people - the whole place came to a standstill just to watch.
@turtle:
Your pictures are some of the best I have ever seen. I don’t reply very often because… well, I don’t know, I think maybe I’m jealous. Anyways, keep them coming, they’re so beautiful! Can’t wait to go on another ride with you in those gorgeous mountains.
@everyone else muni:
I like your muni pics! Can’t get enough of them.
Here’s my latest ride above Grindelwald, Berner Oberland, Switzerland. It was so incredible:
That singletrack on the ridge - looks like a perfect place to ride. Am well jealous of you guys who live in / near the Alps, it’s the best place for riding I’ve ever been. Maybe I’ll get to ride there again some time.
Joe
I usually have one of your pictures on my PC desktop at work.
As do I. Your photos are amazing Turtle, always.
@munirocks: good to see you made it to the alps! great shots, where excatly did you ride and how many days?
I started in Grindelwald from Hotel Wetterhorn/Oberer Gletscher (1’257m) very early in the morning (6:30h), rode all the way up the paved road to the Große Scheidegg (1’962m), then mostly on single track over to First (2’167m). There I took a longer break while increasing numbers of tourists kept poring out of the cable car… Then I rode over to the gorgeous Bachalpsee (2’265m), the big lake in two of the pictures. Lots of hiking tourists all over the place by that time, but still it was beautiful. From Bachalpsee I went up to the Faulhorn (2’681m), mostly by foot since riding was getting too exausting on the unpaved, steepish way up. Even walking was kind of tough because of the thin air and the steepness… But the view from the top was absolutely gorgeous! Such a great panorama! And almost no clouds at all.
Then I rode down to Bussalp (1800m) on mostly very difficult single track and then back to Oberer Gletscher via Bort. I think I arrived at something around 15:30h or so. I was really exausted afterwards, but also very pleased that I made it without any problems or injuries.
After taking a little rest I decided to drive back to my parents house in Southern Germany because I felt I had experienced what I wanted already. And I was afraid that the next day I might not be in good shape anyways. So it was just one day in muni paradise… Actually I should have stayed a couple more days. But I also didn’t feel like sleeping in a tent.
Here’s some more pictures:
Warning non-MUni pictures
Sorry it’s either been too hot & humid, or wet to ride MUni around these parts lately so I gotta do what I gotta do to get any kind of unicycle ride in. These pictures are from the Long Leaf Trace in Hattiesburg, Mississippi (U.S.A). I got a late start (on my way back from that conference in New Orleans, Louisiana) and it was over 100 deg F heat index by the time I got started!!! Blah! So only got in ~23 mile ride… just wanted to get home! ![]()
BONUS: can you spot the broken spoke?
Got up early and beat the heat for a desert ride this morning at Catalina State Park at the base of the Catalina mountains near Tucson, Arizona.

Wow, that looks awesome! What a place to muni!
Tucson Uni, I love the desert. I would love to ride there.
