Took a 12-13ish mile ride around White Rock Lake in Dallas this morning. Not all that long, but there are a lot of long uphills on the trail, and my 125s are definitely giving me a work out - plus I’m still a coker noob.
A few random pictures (cell-phone quality, it’s all I have):
Thought this was a nice take, it was a gorgeous morning.
My first break. It’s a little hard to tell cause those stupid weeds are in the way, but there were tons of boats out on the water.
A little rest stop that jutted into the lake.
A dam that I would later ride on top of on the other side of the lake.
Pics from today’s 10 mile MUni ride. In the 2nd pic of the small steep hill with my MUni at the top, you can see the marks left from me hopping up it; I guess you could also call it the “Pecking order”, lol! The 3rd pic is really beautiful in high res!
Thanks, yeah I always take at least my small digital along…you never know when a good pic opportunity pops up! Mine’s small and light so doesn’t take up hardly any room in my camelback.
Terry inspired me to take some pics during my ride this evening. I can’t say that they are the best of pictures, but it was really beautiful on Dickinson College campus.
Too bad I didn’t have a photographer, but the self-timer gives me about 10 seconds!:o
From my front door.

Me!
Time for new cranks!(I bent the other one now, and the originally bent one stripped later on.:()
This is the longest set I have ever ridden straight down. I didn’t do it today, but I’ve done it several times in the past.
Even though I woke up today feeling incredibly ill cough cough I couldn’t resist going out for a couple of hours for a good ride. Spent about 2 hours riding around the hillside, round one way, then up over the top and back down to the bay where I live.
Awesome fun day at Aliso woods canyon with a good sized group in attendance! Here we are at the the “top of the world”. Punishing steep climbs to get there but worth it! I got to this trail earlier than the rest to shoot footage for my next video, and will be posting it in a day or to to the vid forum.
Lower Government trail is open, upper still closed for elk migration. Here are some shots from a ride recently. Bears are out and roaming the neighborhoods again. Snakes are cruising around as well, as spring begins to take hold. High country still pretty snowy.
