Morgon in Albuquerque
That’s an Intense 24x3 DH. They’re discontinued but I think Jamey Mossengren (unicycle6869) may still has a few.
This morning my family and I did the Riverside Citrus Classic 7 mile Family Fun Ride. Robin and the girls did it on their bikes and I rode my Muni. This was the longest distance I have done. The farthest I have gone before today was 5 miles and that was with a lot of rest stops. I did this one in and hour and forty minutes with one 10 minute stop at the pit stop for water, trail mix, and oranges. Since the streets weren’t closed to traffic I had to stop at several lights and used that time to rest my legs and walked across the intersections.
Arriving at the finish. Just one block earlier I was entering a into a shaded spot. The pavement had been lifted up by a tree root and I didn’t see it. I UPD’d landing on my hands and knees. My leg armor saved me from what could have been a nasty injury.
At the finish being interviewed by a reporter for the Riverside Press Enterprise newspaper.
Seriously has anyone else had a hand grenade thrown at them on a ride? Fortunately they counted only to two not with the intention of proceeding to three.
Just for the record, I shot the kid.
From this morning.

Too bad The book of armaments didn’t tell us what happens if there’s no proceeding to three ![]()
HA! I got it!
Kebler Pass - Colorado
Kebler Pass in Central Colorado- Amazing. Dirt pass except top 2 miles. Climb up was 4,500’, 1372 meters, went down the other side aways towards Crested Butte, then back to top. Then 4,500’ down for total of 6 hours of world class mtn unicycling. Top elevation of Pass is only 10,000’, 3048 meters. Starting temp was -2C, 28F - finishing temp was 10C, 50F. 42 miles, 68 km’s for the day.
The worlds largest Aspen grove, or so I am told, resides on this Pass, you can see part of it in the pics. The Fall colors were still going off on the bottom 1/2 of Pass. Awesome day to be outside on the big wheel in the Colorado Rockies. Life is good.
Baxter State Park
Every year we go to Baxter State Park in Maine for Columbus Day. This is the first year my daughter and I brought our unicycles. Here is Madeline (11) riding on a trail with a fantastic view of Katahdin. On out way out I took a photo of Katahdin from the air. It snowed the night before.
One week, five thousand miles driven, six rides in three states/four locations, visited with friends, saw my daughter in SLC, picked up a hitchiker (my wife), rode at the Cali Munifest, and now I’m back home ![]()

Beautiful pics Mike and Ben. I really miss the trails in the US sometimes.
