Pictures of your latest ride

1 and 2 pictures - place where ancient sharks teeth were found. A lot.
3 - decorations for movie “Waiting for the sea”.

So that was not only cool rides, that was travel

Hi guys
This is a piccy from a ride I did last week.
This is on top of the Great Orme in Llandudno.
I did a fair amount of walking LOL, but I did manage a few rides downhill on the grass. It was fun.

Alucard

At last Sunday I finished mtb race. 39 km (24 miles) in 2h55min.
That was quite crazy, to made it on 24". With average speed of 13,4 km/h I rode with heart rate about 175-185 bits/min. At 35 km I almost lost power. My legs couldn’t control proper movement and I were felling down many times. Hopefully I finished not last one. That was long race on mainly unpaved, flat roads with some (about 10 %) mountain parts, very steep but short uphills and downhills, not technically difficult.

Today (Thursday) i finally received all parts for my 26" guni, so next time in such race i will compete with bikes on similar speed level.

Makym, congrats on the race and on guni as well
Where was the race?

Hey Alucard, I recognised the scenery before I read the words - I was up Great Orme the week before last, but on foot. I thought it would be a cool place to ride, including the park at the foot with all the Alice in Wonderland things. Wasn’t sure that cycles would be welcome though, signs seemed to suggest it was all footpaths only.

The race took place in Poland, Start was in the village named Jeziorki (Osieczna), in vicinity of Leszno.

If You are patient, You can find pics where 4 bikers pulls bikes up a hill and me balancing on the wheel in front of them. I think it’s kind of prove that muni if faster on uphills than bikes.

Have been up there a few times, walking and running, but last time was before I started riding a uni - will have to take one next time I’m up there as it seems it should be fun from what I remember. Can’t say I’d be particularly bothered about whether it’s all footpaths - that sort of distinction bothers me little enough when riding a bike, let alone on something where I generally travel slower than when running and most people seem to welcome you.

Cary,North Carolina

I flew from Maine to Cary, North Carolina for a conference. I packed my 24 inch in a large duffle with my clothes and took it along. The afternoon after I arrived I rode an 8 mile loop through Umstead State Park from the hotel. The hills were incredibly steep on the packed dirt road through the park. It was a great workout. I also used the uni to ride to and from the conference center. Here is photo of the uni next to Pi at the SAS conference center. It was three days of great weather and great rides (and the conference was good to). I did not realize Cary, NC was so hilly.

I went Muni-ing today, testing out my new GoPro Hero2

It turns out to be really fun to use! I’ll be making a short Muni video soon.

Should have let us known you were coming. You might have had as many as three riding companions. I was out and about on single track that adjoins Umstead three times this week. If you’re ever back in this area let us know. Might not even have to pack a uni next time.

And yes Umstead has some nice steady hills, the ones going CCW on North Turkey are probably the most difficult. Just fyi; there’s about 25 miles of single track of varying difficulty that connects to the Umstead double track, if that’s your thing. Edit: not the hiking trails in Umstead, those are off limits to bikes, all the single track is close to the end of the double track that bisects the park.

Great to know. I will let you know next time. I am not up to Muni yet, but hopefully next time!

It was a great place to visit.

In August I went to Norway on summer vacation. I had my 20" Trials with me and used it as a MUni.
It was AWESOME! Norway is a really great country!

You picked a great week for it. Last week, and all summer for that matter, has been like riding in a sauna. The weather this week was near perfection, so I made sure to get out there as much as I could.

I’m glad you were able to get some nice weather while you were down for the visit.

It’s pretty easy:
You click on “Post reply” and when you scroll down you will find a field that says “Additional Options”. There you find a box with the headline “Attach Files”. In there is a button that says “Manage Attachments” on it. You use it and will find a window that opens. There you can upload the pictures one after the other. Done with that you can click on “Submit Reply” and you’re done.

Playing 4 drum kits while riding my 16er. What’s the record?

Last 4 on page 11 and first on page 12.

3rd and 4th pics look knarly :sunglasses:
Someday I hope to be able to ride stuff like that :o

I don’t know what the record is and that’s a very cool picture indeed.

But I have to ask, where is this store, Music-Carpet World? Or is it Carpet-Instrument Depot? Is it run by some Persian guy who’s into heavy metal or something?

Thanks!
You will; all you need is practice.

This is in a recording studio.

I think we will have one more unicyclist in our town
