These pics were taken last weekend at the top of the “Throwing Copper” track at Melrose in South Australia. Lots of fantastic single track with great views at the peaks.
I take that as a compliment. I don’t add any music to YouTube vids because I don’t know what I am allowed to use. Tips on how to edit videos are appreciated.
The Louisville Riverwalk Trail is a seven mile paved path from the downtown Belvedere river wharf along the Ohio River to Shawnee Park, traversing a unique part of Louisville.
Ohio River Levee trail begins at the Farnsley-Moremen Landing. It will one day connect to the Louisville Loop but for now stands alone as 3.6 miles of multi-use path. The flattest place to ride my geared 36" perfect for sustained high gear riding mile after mile.
From the Long Beach marathon, 10/9/11. Another awesome 26.2 miles of Big wheeled fun-ness! I rode it non-stop and filmed while riding…much more so than last year.
Took almost 8 minutes to clear the start line due to thousands of two-wheelers bottle necking at the start. Finished in 2:11, so not too bad. I had switched my 110 moments for the lighter QuAx 114’s and they worked well, although I think I’m a tad faster with the 110’s.
My newest riding buddy, Clay, drove all the way in from San Diego, and I think there were a couple more one-wheelers out there too. Such a blast!
I am currently in korea where i showed trials and muni in the popular show “star king”. at the rehearsal i took some pictures if you want to see a few more go to my blog: http://lutzeichholz.de/blog/
I’m not sure. It’s a good 2 hour drive from my house, so I had never been there before, plus I just recently got into riding off-road so I’m not too familiar with the history. I did find this:
There’s a 1.5 mile gravel road leading up to a 9 mile loop if you count both trails that are out there (Keyauwee + Supertree). It was a nice trip, though a little challenging for where I’m at currently. I ended up doing the walk, scratch that, hike of shame probably 2 out of the 9 miles. Save a few bikers in the very beginning I was out there by myself. Parts of the trail looked sparsely used, almost abandoned. I thought I had taken a wrong turn at one point.
Since this is the picture thread I’ll try to be brief, but the trail follows an old logging access road at points and later turns into rocky singletrack, then some more typical, flowing singletrack toward the end. Nice rollercoaster descent at the very end when going CCW. The one thing I liked was that you could get in some real distance on one loop which is in contrast to some of the more local trails where you have to do multiple, tight loops to generate distance.
