Nice pics! We got about the same amount of snow now. Riding the loose snow is great, as long as it is downhill.
Heh, snow’s fun but I have to say I’m rather a fan of the weather you’re having PeterG.
Anyway, Today was the Stockton Unicyclists Christmas ride, good bash around Stockton over a load of the bridges and a bit of fun along the way on various hills

Yeah, I try to be as covered up as possible. I’m not a sun worshiper that’s for sure! I also just added a nose shield. The nose is usually more prone to sunburn since it kinda sticks out, haha.
I made a video yesterday. It was a lot less snow then, but still a few tricky snowdrifts.
Huh, interesting. I see such things are actually for sale. Not something I usually need around here, but I’m considering a long b*cycle tour in early spring, when I’m not used to the sun yet. Could be useful.
Snapshot taken from video of Cocker road ride today. Car disappearing down the hill gives clue to gradient I was riding up.
Love the shot with the skid marks!
Gunnstein,
I like the video: it made me want to go out and ride in the snow.
I did not recognize you in the movie. Where are your helmet horns?

Went to NYC over 9/11/2010 to ride in the NYC century had a blast riding all over that city for 3 days we did about a 100k saturday and the same on sunday. pics and video here http://s654.photobucket.com/home/climb-on
Cool video - I am really looking forward to getting out on the perfect snow surface and doing some riding myself
I have one suggestion after watching you ride though: use one of your hands to hold onto the saddle bumper in front. You only need one arm free to maintain balance and the added grip on the saddle greatly increases your ability to push hard on the pedals. This is especially important when riding on rough (and snow-covered) surfaces as you often need to suddenly increase pedaling pressure.
Friday I picked up my new (to me) Coker which required a few modification in order for me to ride. Saturday I was busy, and we experienced an early snow (for here in NC). Sunday was cold and sunny, so I packed up the uni’s and asked the wife about going to a local park so I could ride, and the dog & wife could do the dog park thing. Before we left she took a short video … this was my first experience on the 36’er, and I am really excited to get back on and work toward taming this beast.
Coker Road Riding
Posted a still shot from this video earlier - but since vids are being posted on this thread heres the full version. Brilliant day for a road ride
Nice
I had a day off work today and went out for a whole-day xc ride with local rider Alex. Frozen hoof-printed ground made for quite awkward riding in places, and big sheets of ice were interesting…
Got back just before it got dark, and took quite a few pictures. Here are a few of the better ones. Alex seems to be turning into quite a good trials rider - there’s no way I had the guts to do that drop and he’s much better at hopping over gaps than I am… and he’s only been at it a few months.

Lets see a picture riding the unicycle!
She is still lerning but will get some soon
Out for a road ride between Dolgellau and Bala. Trying out new KH 110/127 cranks. Stopped at a roadside ‘memorial’ for the victim of a car accident.
That’s a powerful picture Geoff!
It reminds me to take nothing for granted. Life is a gift.
God Bless us all.
