Nice. But wouldn’t the geared 36" have been more appropriate there? And did you win?
hehe, sure 36’er guni would have been quicker but hey I just have the one GUni. I don’t know any uni on an F1 circuit is ever going to be ‘appropriate’ 
I thought about bringing the single speed 36’er but the dirt trails around the park were good fun later in the day on the 24 GUni anyway.
Re winning, I inadvertently rode the circuit in reverse… so yeah hmm victorious in my own special way. I also tried to scoot through pit lane on the GUni but the security guy… he wasn’t feeling the love even though I tried to explain to him that this was like an F1 unicycle, fat tire, with gears, aero bar thingy. I just wanted a pic of me on the F1 podium with the uni… too much to ask? 
That would have been a great picture… You’ll have to sneak in again one day and get that image!

Yes, well worth a look. It’s all quite hidden, but we managed to find quite a lot of fun stuff by poking around and talking to the many MTB’s around. It’s not to far for me either, let me know if you plan a visit.

Icy Moorland
Rode my 29er to work today. Didn’t really have time, but yesterday’s snow (we had about 3" on the top of the moor on Tuesday night, none lower down) had half melted then frozen solid on the road, so it was way too dodgy for the bike. Quite a pleasant ride in the sun with the crispy remains of the snow on the track (and some nasty patches of ice). Only crashed once, and only ten minutes late for work
You’re probably all fed up of pictures from my commute by now, but the dusting of snow and rare clear views with no mist make it a bit different…

Still going well, thanks, although ironically nothing has stuck in the tyre since I converted it. And I still really like the Ralph for xc riding, certainly round here. Have to see how it behaves in the mud next weekend (assuming it’s been as wet over there as it has here…) Might try to get out for some potentially more muddy woods testing over the bank holiday. Wet mud seems fine, but I think clay would clog it up pretty fast. I’ve got a bruise on my arse that says it doesn’t work too well on ice, so let’s hope it warms up a bit in the next week!

This is from a ride I did yesterday. I hiked up about a mile and a half, and then unicycled down. I really need to get a real MUni. The trials just doesn’t work too well for this sort of thing.

Same here. I have no money though. You need money for a Muni. 
Here’s a bit of a summary of my latest couple of rides in southern Germany.
First one is an easy xc 36er ride with my parents, so not very fast but nice anyways.
The second picture is from a ride that was a little more challenging: 62.5km and 1000m of climbing within 4 hours incl. 39min of breaks, averaging at 18. something km/h. There were some very steep sections in that one.
The last one was with the 26" carbon fiber muni, going up and down various interesting trails without breaks. I still feel my legs today so I think it was a good work out. The hard and narrow tire is pretty challenging in rough terrain…

Thanks, those trails are great but unfortunately I currently live 500km north of them. But every once in a while I go there to visit my parents and do some muni. The tire clearance would probably allow for a 2.4" tire but I haven’t tried that so far. I have a 2.35" Racing Ralph wire bead tire on now, which is kind of fun. The thing is that the rim is very narrow so you can’t run lower pressures without folding the tire. So maybe I should get a slightly wider rim for it. It would add some more weight to the 4.3kg, though.
