A shot of me in the rain last night.
Double whammy MUni/coker rode today! Only had camera for the coker ride, and what an amazing sunset!
Dude, nice pics, but there’s something crawling on your upper lip.
Haha…peachy fuzz. I was really going for something more like this, or this, but I don’t think that’s gonna happen, lol.
muniaddict you have to get the 1st moustache
Don’t I already have one? It’s just harder to see 'cause it’s not very dark.
I want to thank everyone for the awesome pictures in this thread, especially Terry. I live on the Central Coast now, but lived in and around Los Angeles for fifteen years and it’s great to see the trails and views from the Strand. Too bad I didn’t have a unicycle back then!
Short trip near Roisdorf
If you want to see where that is, just search for Roisdorf on Google earth.
The trip was really short, just ~ 45 Minutes, but with a nice view over Bonn (you can see almost the entire city on picture 5)
I took all pictures “on the fly” while I was riding.
This was one of the most beautiful, picture-postcard days I’ve experienced in recent memory! This was also my first time riding the “Chumash” trail in Simi valley, CA for the first time. It’s roughly 6 miles out/back with about 1,800 of elevation gain.
Lots of hikers and bikers on the trail and they were really fun to interact with. The footage I shot will be part of my newest video, which I think is one of my best. Will post later in vid section. Cheers!
Green Mountain with my new home, Denver in the distance. Rode there on Friday, had to walk through some of the iced and muddy sections, but it was a fun ride.
Colorado National Monument (posted this one in a thread already)
Petersberg -> Drachenfels
A view from Petersberg near Königswinter/Bonn to Drachenfels. You can also see the River Rhine.
Great pictures!
By the way is that a 4 cross wheel on the 36er? Because I’m just trying to figure out how to get my geared 36er built up (same configuration).
I tried to do it 3 cross with 371mm spokes and failed…
Another great day for a beach coker ride! Hopping up stairs on a 36er, with 114mm cranks, touring bar, a saddle that can’t be adjusted low enough, and too much psi, make it extra crazy hard to do! (but that never stopped me haha!)
pretty steps above… keep on hoppin’
Guess your eyes were stoney red from staring at the sunset.
Red? haha, I’m red/green color blind but I know they are green.
Thanks,
I am using 3 cross with 14g spokes custom cut from UDC. I believe that they were 363mm long for the 3x pattern, but I am not positive. Also, heed roger’s advice from the other thread (I haven’t checked back in it), I am not sure if the flanges have changed.
that’s the coolest picture I’ve seen in here in a long time B-) that looks fun actually, hahaha.
I got my picture taken for the GT school newspaper today. : ) hopefully they send me some good ones, and I’ll post em up.
they kinda wanted me juggling on a unicycle n.n’ so I did, but all I had was the 36er. . . soooo. . . . yea, we’ll see how they turn out, I kinda had to reach out to get the clubs out of the way of the handlebar.
Haha it’s funny that the exposed part of the tire we see, it’s clean as a whistle! Did you just sorta dunk it in for the shot, then take it out?
Yeah, actually at this point in my ride I had adopted the “no ride through big mud puddle” rule, after I kept hitting roots under 2 inches of mud and water and getting tossed then trying to do a skating/sliding recovery over the mud/leaf mixture that is the “trail”. It was actually mostly wet and the mud wasn’t too bad.
