Pictures of your latest ride

Yeah I hear ya. Most mud I don’t mind, if it doesn’t stick and build up on your tire. But in my area, so many trails have a large percentage of clay mixed in, so when it rains-and sometimes for days after it rains-the MUni tire gets totally clogged in just a few feet of riding to the point where the wheel seizes up from the mud getting lodged against the brake assembly! :frowning:

Had a fun 24 GUni ride today on the Wombat MTB Trail.

I hadn’t been there for a while so kinda got a shock - the forest there has been burnt in preparation for the Summer fire season… sounds kind of wacky hey.

Today:

Back in July:

:frowning:

The geared hub on the 24 is running great, as is the tubeless setup - haven’t added air since September. Looking forward to using the GUni this weekend in a 6 hour MTB event.

Des Moines Creek Trail

Nice local place to ride, close to Seattle. Still a few salmon in the creek which is good to see.

aha  salmon  is it the famous four pad white skin salmon
I fear we call it “dog” in europe:p:p:p

Your dog is so awesome!!

Where is that? It looks really cool and I’m always looking for new places to ride.

A post storm ride up Mt Majura and Mt Ainslie this afternoon in the cooler conditions. Was on a fire road connecting two sections of single track when i came across this fellow- there are hundreds of Kangaroos and wallabies all around the trails i ride but by the time i stop to get my camera they have usually hopped off.

Great pics!
EDIT: 200th post!

Finishing my Thanksgiving day beach ride!

Close to the River with my non-geared 29"er with 114mm cranks. It was just too windy to ride against the wind in high gear, and I don’t like the long cranks (137mm) in low gear.

You can see a ship passing by.

From this morning at Hummingbird trail, Simi Valley, CA.

MuniAddict, every time I see your pictures here, it makes me want to get a 26" all decked out for muni. In the mean time, it motivates me to get off my rear and out on the trail with my 29er. I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned it before, but I really enjoy the fact that you post so many pics in this thread.

Thanks. Yeah I like to contribute if I think I have something fun or interesting to share. I’ve also been seriously thinking about making the jump up to a 26er. I know it’s only an additional 2 inches, but it will mean a HUGE difference in *tire availability, and the larger rim should still be more than strong enough for biggish drops while also adding some speed and more distance per revolution.

*Although 26x3 tires are available–which is what I would want for MUni–most are lot narrower.

Me too. Every time I’m tired and on the fence about going out riding or sitting on my can for the night, I see this thread and end up going to ride  and always glad afterwards.

Just got back from a coker ride, maybe my 3rd or 4th time on it. This was the first time I hit some of the hills in my area. I’m surprised at how much of a workout I got… Nice.

Seahurst Beach. A few miles south of Seattle

The white object on the water: Vashon Ferry returning from Vashon Island. Beneath the clouds a smallish peak/peek of the Olympic Mountains.

Here’s a cool little boardwalk I rode over a swamp.

Sorry, I’m not sure how to keep the pictures from being annoyingly large…

How the heck did you manage to even get that size pic uploaded here? The dimension maximum is only 800x800 for all file types.

Is that the mt. vernon trail in VA?

MuniAddict-
I uploaded it at tinypic.com then posted the image here. Couldn’t find where to upload a photo for a post

siafirede-
Nope, it’s part of the Barker-Clodine Trail in Katy, Texas. One of the few wooded areas for a couple miles around here… :frowning:

tinypic - quite ironic
