Nothing very exciting or particularly pretty, just some rare photographic evidence of me and sam unicycling.
Cool cave Terry! Ever do trials around that trail?
When I posted my video last week, JohnnyReggae and MuniAddict were envious of the shade on the trails I ride. But really, the trees are much more useful as rain cover around these parts of the world!
I totally agree. The weather was disgustingly terrible today.![]()
Haha yeah, but on my 24" Muni. It would take a lot longer to do that trail on a 19/20". But then again, it’s so fun, what’s the hurry, right!
Oh, and there’s some HUGE awesome slabs of smooth rock all over with crevices that are perfect for gaps and rolling hops…but a long way down if you miss!
Here are some pics from my second rode of the day…as if hardcore Hummingbird wasn’t enough! Another gorgeous late afternoon at the beach for a coker ride. I can’t believe the cop let me take a shot with my 36er leaning against his cruiser, haha!
Beaut spring day, had a fun ride this afternoon in an area of the Wombat Forest called Happy Valley.
Welcome to Happy Valley ![]()
Found some dirt bike trails, nice!
Scotland at its best! Sunny day and dry trails… great!
Clachnaben near Aberdeen - (too) steep climb followed by a (too) rocky descent. I had to skip a few portions of the steps, they are so irregular and with sharp edges, not the best to improvise a fall, but great fun when not too steep.

That’s looks really cool (in both senses of the word!)
Looks like petrified bubbly mud, but I suppose it’s more likely to be water erosion patterns.
Eek. What are they - some sort of spider? Makes me think of mines with tripwires but presumably it’s not that!
That looks fun - my sort of trail. See what you mean about the steps - at least there’s a nice wide area at the side to dive into if you lose it.

First Coker ride
This is not a spectacular ride, however, to me it’s a good one. I finally took care of my seat post problems and got the Coker all together last evening. I decided to wait until this morning to ride it since there would be no traffic and less people to watch me and my potential demise. This morning, I took a shower before the attempted ride just in case I ended up at the hospital with major injuries. It’s funny how over the course of a week of getting the Coker useable, I’ve become somewhat paranoid about all the danger of the big wheel. As it turns out, compared to my frightful fantasies it was really quite easy. Of course, I put 170mm cranks on it and now I’m thinking about 150s. I think the 125s that came with it may be pushing it. Anyway, my latest ride was only about 2 miles of flat road, but very fun and with lots of relief that I could do it.
Obstacles, obstacles, obstacles!
Well done!!!
Looks great - I’m thinking about getting a big wheel so always good to see a newbie!!.
A nice gentle XC ride through Ashridge park, not difficult but done at speed with some surprising descents and ascents.
Great time of year for riding in the UK at the moment.
Crikey, Cathwood, you’ve worn that Coker wheel down!
That’ll be all the recent riding that I would like to have been doing ![]()
Just riding around the trails in Clayton, California. Found a bridge and thought I should ride the rial. Success!![]()
have you ridden up mt diablo? i always thought that would be a great place to ride.
nice pics everyone
Lobbybopster- that is such an outrageous Muni. I’d love to give it a go someday but i’m afraid i would not be able to ride it seriously without a boombox blasting out the terminator theme music ![]()
You must get some interesting looks on the trail.
no pics from me unfortunately because i’ve been crook and have university essays due:( Hopefully once they are all in and my hub is back from it’s vacation to Switzerland i’ll have more time and motivation to get out and ride!

A few years ago I rode my 20" around the balcony of the tower on the Ashridge Estate. Our Morris men dance at the estate there every couple of years.
