Of everything I’ve tried, unicycling just suits me best. ![]()
It’s not just a sport; it’s a way of life! ![]()
Spectacular, as usual. That snowy trail with big drop-off reminds me of the first Lord of the Rings movie, where they have to turn around in that mountain pass…
But the suit doesn’t. Somehow, your everyday riding gear, with pads, helmet and neck cover, seems so much less axe-murderer-y. ![]()
nice scene!

You’re looking young and smart Terry. Nice photo!

Great Pic Bryant, and welcome to the forum!

Lol I have the unicycles for that, but no family ![]()
snow is mostly gone!
First muni ride in my local mountains of 2016! Did one of my favorite freeride mountain bike trails on the muni. It was a little too difficult for me so I had to walk some steep sections but it really pushed me and I was happy with how much I rode (rode considerably more than my last muni attempt about a year ago)
In total 900m vertical (about 300ft). Around the top of the trail (not the top of the mountain) there was some snow on the sides of the trail and just a bit higher up I could see deep snow, but the entire downhill was snow free!
The triangular peak on the right in the second picture is the Alpspitze (the Zugspitze is just to the right of it out of the picture). I had another photo with the Zugspitze but it didn’t come out so well. The ski area is Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where the alpine parts of 2 olympics were held (1972 and 1936? I think). I rode alone as usual so no action photos possible.
Last weekend we had great sunny weather (this week it snowed again). But preparing for the Elsbet 4-day Muni weekend in Leichtenstein in 2 weeks! Totally stoked to ride with other people (over 60 people signed up already!).
Around the lake of Vincennes (France)

A short test ride before I take the dog for a walking (with the uni of course).
I wanted to test 15 PSI with the g26 (knard 3"), I was especially curious about how it goes in 2nd gear.
Well it went very good! exhausting but fast and stable, at least much more than what I expected.
I took very much fun being overtaken by a jogger, then shift in 2nd gear and totally reverse the situation.
I dit it a couple of times with the same jogger, I have no Idea what happened in his mind ha ha, but he was very surprised the first time I passed him much faster than he passed me 30 second before. ![]()
Dog walking was good too (all in 1st gear).
The knard 3" low inflated is so much forgiving than I barely need to have a hand on the handlebars, even when I pass over roots.
Thanks Byc! Glad to have finally found this place.
I wish I could go back! Reminds me of my trip through the alps in 2012, our second stop was at the top of the Zugspitze! Holy crap it was cold haha. ![]()
Getting the mail today and I could tell the pedal was crooked. Taking a break on the way back, I looked down this is what I saw. And here I thought hopping on a lollipop would bend the axle.
No problem,
15 min. later I welded it back on. With the threads stripped, both crank and pedal weren’t going to do me any good anyway. I beefed up the other pedal while I was at it.

Some photos from a trip yesterday. The plan changed a lot on the way, but the valleys around Kraków are so green now that it was worth being lost there.
Thanks for the photos Vookash, beatiful scenery around there. ![]()
I have been once around there in the height of winter and it was freezing (not to mention that white was the predominant colour!). Nice to see pictues of it at this time of the year ![]()
Thanks, it was great to see so much green there.
And I started some racing this season, so more photos and writeup are here on my blog: http://vooni.kkdt.org/post/144594644504/racing-again-daleszyce-kluszkowce
