Pictures of your latest ride continued

That could actually work. I say: go for it! :+1:

Unfair, in NL it had been 22ºC during the day and then at 16:00 when I was off work, it started raining and it had been raining all evening. Now Im working and it is dry again. I had already put the 36 in my car yesterday, because I had made so much progress.

Do you have a light on your uni or helmet when riding in the dark? Pictures do look darker than it actually is generally.

I rode up to a lookout point last night to look down over Oslo

Perhaps a bit dark on the way home given I wore dark clothes and had no lights.

Yes, yes I did!

P.S. It perhaps will not suprised you that I am as well known amongst my acquaintances as the guy who like wierd time pieces as I am, that guy who rides wierd cycles.

no doubt. My family now calls me the unicyclist with the irish tin whistle. A hobby I started 2 years ago and as it is with unicycles, 1 tin whistle isn’t enough. Now I have 5. Im not a good player though.

Not quite my latest ride but I did have a nice, leisurely, relaxing Sunday ride with @SirCranky and @idleboy

They were a bit faster than me at points though. Look carefully here and you might just pick them out:

@ruari what size wheel were you riding there when you lagged behind, a 16", and a wheel running counter-clockwise?

29, same as @SirCranky. I had 80mm cranks and he had 75s but that was not the reason for my slower pace. He is just faster then me. :man_shrugging:

Strava says my average pace that day was only 16.1km/h, while they were both closer to 17. I can make excuses all day long but at the end of the day I guess I was just the slow guy.

I wish I had some more uni-peeps living close to me. The other guy on his 36 is way out of league and Im like 30 years older, so I just end up riding alone.
With 3 unicyclists together, non-unicyclists will definitely think you are part of a circus

I had seriously considered taking the penny farthing that day as I had a little knee pain and that would have been easier. It also would have been quite a sight. :eyes:

and the front wheel of the Penny Farthing is the same as a 36" ?

No the front wheel of my penny is 54 inches. A 36er looks small next to it.

Jeez that’s a long way down when you lose control. Im not gonna buy one.

I discovered the other day you can find a picture of me on it on the front page of unicycle.co.uk. I am the one at the back wearing black clothes, riding a yellow penny.

EDIT: Oh… they removed it for the Easter Sale banner. There is my 15 minutes of fame gone.

Luckily I took screenshots when I saw it

Actually I have a slightly higher resolution of that here (Also, that is @rogeratunicycledotcom in the middle looking backwards)

And to get this back on topic of riding a unicycle. Here is a video of @PedalSprell and I. Ok, perhaps not his “latest ride” (which I have seen already and is insane… I am hoping he will post it soon to get things fully back on topic!)

@Ruari. You fail to mention that you pushed so hard that only one of you managed to finish the loop, and that was only because he had to because his car was there. But you all hit :100: and I take off my hat and helmet for each of you crazy guys. :top_hat:
