@SirCranky you don’t use a T-bar? It saved me many times. So the handle of the saddle works for you? Not bad, it saves weight.
At the start of my schlumpf practice it was quite weird but after 300+ km the seat handle is just fine.
I did have an experimental T-frame handlebar made but i havent gotten around to doing a proper distance ride since it performs suboptimally on uphills and flat ground is rare to come by around here.
Actually made for the 36" but it almost seemed to work better on the 19" test in the driveway ![]()
What is that abomination of a unicycle?
It is the future… slap some 60 mm cranks on this baby and you’ve got a distance machine likely capable of breaking the 24h record!
We might actually find this out next year since i am a bit tempted to try a 500+ km ride, but first we’ll see how it goes on the 36" schlumpf this summer.
Love to see this being ridden

Here’s a video of one of the first tests in glorious mms quality.

I’ll never have enough confidence to show my face over the Internet like you did. ![]()
That center post on your setup screams chest-buster at me. Stay safe on that thing.
My thoughts wandered in similar ways, though I had other parts of the body in mind. Anyway, @SirCranky could mount a second saddle to provide some sort of protection and to rig up the first micro machine uni-tandem.
I vote for the corny yellow or green tennis ball over the protruding tube
Easter
km Micromachine tandem?
Dibs on the left pedal!
That’s great since my right leg is stronger!
We’ll get double the power aand double the speed ![]()
leaving the rest of the cranky crew in the dust
As for the uni tandem, just prolong the pedals by screwing a metal U-profile on top of each pedal so that 2 feet have space on each pedal. One person stays on the inner side of the pedals and one on the outer side. By this I have converted a bicicle into a tandem within 10 minutes. One is riding like normal, the other one sits on the rear luggage rack and propells the outer side of the pedals.
So basically put on an extra seat in the middle, and make the pedals 2x wider, by attaching the u-profiles and glueing on some sandpaper for grip I guess.
I found a thread about tandem unicycles:
Would the suggested Microtandem count as a proper tandem unicycle?
It sure looks cozy… If one just grabs the handlebars and let the Backseat treat this as a MuniPacking trip… Ha!
Also, I can’t imagine how you should be able to (free)mount such a thing. The back seat must do the mounting. How will the pedal extensions even hold up?
I’ve been struggling to get up and get out there on my uni lately, so I’ve been trying to do a few shorter rides on my QU-AX 24" just to get riding again.
That wheel looks way bigger than 24"
