Pictures of your latest ride continued

That photo is on a side track. The main trail is mostly non-technical singletrack or gravel with a few roots.

Had my Oracle 36’s anniversary ride yesterday, it’s by now my longest ride (75km). It also marks the 1000th km on the 36er.

Sadly, there won’t be Nationals next year in France. We have failed in motivating an organizing team. There may be a small event, but nothing like a real French National Cup.

Winter is approaching…

Nice to see that there are still riders with rim brakes. I thought I was the only one by now. My rim brakes have never let me down. I also accept the jerking and sometimes whistling. That can also be an advantage: people jump to the side without me having to use my voice

@Maxence 's picture definitely seems like a @Klaas_Bil calendar contender to me!

Thanks! But I feel like it lacks something to be beautiful. Maybe some sun

I haven’t browsed this thread yet for pictures. But just now I’ve put it on the longlist.

To a laymen, it may look as if Maxence doesn’t use pedals at all. Due to the moment that the picture was taken, the cranks line up with the line of sight, rendering them largely invisible. The clipless pedals are really small which helps as well.

Yes that is correct. I love my rim brakes for riding muni, but I also have disc brakes on my 26" muni and my 29" muni. I prefer to ride the 24" model with the rim brakes, but in bad weather like this with mud and wet everything gets stuck on the brake pads, like it did with my bike last time. After riding it a little hard at the French Championships, There is a runout on the rim that I have to center out because the rim rubs against the pads. Before I had a deviation of 0.1mm as a side runout and now it has become larger.

I also am very pleased with my rim brakes. Good ole Maguras. They work very well.

That looks amazing, here in the uk when we get snow it’s so short lived that if you blink you’ve missed it!
