Just got this beauty!!!
Looks fantastic , The brake cliper bracket welded on the frame looks different and stronger than others ive seen.
Yeah this wheel feels smooth and solid! Not sure how the brake mounts were from before.
heres picture i found , I did hear there was some issues with the brake tab so maybe yours is a newer improved version.
Lincolnshire Lake, Tazewell Virginia, USA. It was a very beautiful, peaceful ride. Did two laps totalling about 3 miles/4.8 km.
Ok nice to know i got the new beefed up version ![]()
My son got a spiked tire on his uni yesterday, so we went out and tested it on a local trail. (Hoping the video will embed properly!)
But what happens if you come off? I’d be worried about ending up with a broken *ss!
Just don’t fall off! Spiked tires are amazing though, they stick really well on blank ice. Ice with a thin layer on top is another matter, though…
Looks fun for sure! I guess you could play uni ice hockey with that.
Can confirm, had ice spiker pros on my eMTB, you get stupid amounts of confidence with a spiked tire but man are they heavy. You get to be very stable and don’t spip much.
On a family trip to Queenstown, NZ I took my KH29 and had a go at hill climbing the Access Road to the Remarkables Ski Field.
Strava Segment: “9.6 Remarks” Categorey HC, 9.6km, 924m Elevation Gain, Ave Grade 9.6%
That’s look amazing but did you actually ride up as it looks very steep?
Salzburg?
There were plenty of amazing riders at Unicon 2020 competing in the uphill event. Have a look on YouTube.
I got video of me riding up the switchback in the photo… it is fairly long. So here are some screenshots of my hill climbs as recorded by Strava. As you can see I stopped approx. every 100m elevation gain for stretching and photos/videos.
Climb no.1 127mm crank
Climb no.2 150mm crank
There is a section of the park that no one ever uses, and that no one seems to know what to do with. There are no signs labeling this section of the park, but it’s obvious to me that nature intended that it be used for unicycling.
I’m not sure what to call this style of riding, though. It’s not distance riding. It’s not Muni. It has some downhill aspects, but not like you will see in other DH photos. I guess it’s my version of George Peck’s rocky beach.
Plus, a photo of a tree I’m not good enough to hop over, yet.
Great crisp January ride on The Green Beast: Nimbus Oregon.
Warm and glittering in the sun
- but oddly enough the power companies are paying households to desist from using electricity today from 4:30-6 due to a worry over supply. Coal fired stations at the ready.
If only we could harness the collective power of all unicyclists. They would surely generate a gigawatt or two?!!
