MUni Weekend 16: Auburn, CA

That’s a good question, based on how the schedule worked out. I wish you’d asked it a little earlier. However I can see how it’s a bad fit for people driving up from the Bay area. How would a 10:00 Friday start time work for people?

You only posted that on Monday.

10:00 Friday would definitely be preferable to 9:00, for me. I’m sure I can speak for Ashley on that one, too.

I can’t make friday morning…i’ll be there friday night.

Still waiting for feedback on changing the Friday start time to 10:00 am. At this point it probably won’t negatively affect anyone, so it looks like we’ll all have a chance to sleep an extra hour…

The Schedule page has been up since last Thursday, 9/22. Yeah, still pretty late…

Early weather forecasts suggest that the weather conditions will be just about perfect next weekend (highs in the 70s). We may even get some rain in the middle of the week, which might take some of the dustiness off the trails.

Friday at 10:00 is fine for me

We’ll be driving a truck down there, so while we can’t drive many people, we can help haul gear on Saturday and Sunday, if needed!

Thanks Austin (and family), that could be very helpful. And consider a 10:00 start time for Friday to be official! Now I just have to update it in the site…

Hey does anyone going happen to have a spare ISIS hub I could buy off them?

Just got a new rim and would like to be able to do some side-by-side comparisons.

currently on the road from Saskatchewan

Ok it seems like I won’t be able to come. I got no more answers for a ride (it would have been nice if I at least got an answer to the PMs I wrote), the greyhound site still doesn’t work and my knee hurts a bit (am sure that it will be fine til friday, though). :frowning:

I’m really sad that I can’t come as I was already looking forward to meeting you all and riding with you but fortune doesn’t seem to be on my side. :frowning:

I hope you will have lots of fun and a great time!

hey – i rarely check the PMs…i might be able to give you a ride, but I won’t know till tomorrow or the next day. I also might be carpooling w/nathan.

Why does the website matter? you could phone for info, no?

I will be flying in to Sacramento Airport Thursday evening around 7:30 pm and renting a car. If someone needs a ride from the airport around that time let me know.

Claude

I’ll be driving down from Oregon in my SUV and staying in Davis. John if you think you will need more carpooling from your house I could stop by and pick up three passengers (and their unicycles), just let me know what time you will be leaving from your house on Friday.

Thanks for the offer, Tom! We’re probably in good shape, but there’s no need for you to drive up to the trails alone if you don’t need to either. I think we’ll keep it simple and shoot for a drive-off time of an hour and fifteen minutes before trail time on each day.

Sorry AEV D. about your problems working out transportation. I was expecting a lot more Bay area people to be coming up, but I guess not. If you sent me any PMs I did not get them either, as explained at the bottom of my posts. I hope you can still work something out!

Weather forecast update:
It’s raining right now! Early in the season for that, but this has been an odd year for weather in any case. Friday - Sunday have perfect conditions forecast; 0% precipitation and highs in the 70s! That’s 20+ degrees cooler than it was in 1996…

I’ve got my fortune back,
I will come!!!
Nathan will give me a ride, thanks here again!

@John I’ll write you an registration e-mail and sign the paper and pay at your house after I arrived on friday evening. Hope that is ok for you.

Omg I’m sooo happy now!!!

One last thing:
Does anybody have a spare sleeping pad?
Mine is in Germany (didn’t fit in my suitcase after I put my trials in  )

@John registration mail is sent!

Your Muni weekend weather forecast Sunny mid 70s cant wait to ride

Any one interested in disc golf in Auburn after the Saturday ride? Tom and I are up for it and will be bringing discs. Here is the course info: http://www.dgcoursereview.com/reviews.php?id=715&mode=rev

—Nathan

I’d love to go, if it doesn’t interfere with my “hosting duties”. Which I guess means, only if all the other people who would otherwise go to my house can be talked into disc golf and if you guys have enough discs to make it work… :sunglasses:

Registration count is now up to an official 16! Plus me. Plus a certain basketball-playing unicyclist from Oakland. John Hooten doesn’t know if he’ll be able to make any of the rides so he’s not registered either. Cody and possibly others may show up at the last minute from SoCal.

Our latest addition is from New York! So the place count now looks like this:
Arizona
California
Maryland
Nevada
Oregon
Texas
New York
British Columbia
Saskatchewan

Help!

I just went down to the 24" Muni I got from Bevan on Monday and its tube lost all the air :frowning:
I only have a 20" spare tube which doesn’t really fit
Does anybody have a 24" tube I could put in the Muni after I arrived on Friday evening for the weekend? I could give it back after the ride on Sunday

I never played disc golf but it sounds like a fun activity so I would like to try it
