I’ve found a lot of people seem to have a problem with the KH blue colour on this forum.
I’ve never seen an elusive KH in person, because I’m poor and have no unicycling friends, but I don’t think it looks too bad in the pictures. Not uber cool, but still good.

I think the issue is that it does look uber cool, but when you’re at a meet and there are dozens, sometimes even hundreds of them the same you get the urge to mod yours.

Me too. Changing the spokes out with bent flanges sucked more than anything. Ended up getting irrated and bent the flanges back out, which worked, but still. It sucks.

Hi guys, I just take notice of Kris’ note in this thread, that a new KH36 frame will be released around June this year. Doesn’t this great news deserve a brand new thread? So it looks like it will have the same width as other KH frames, i.e. 100mm wide hubs will fit in the frame. Why not after all… I am pretty happy with the extra wide hub from UDC/Nimbus right now, but still I am very tempted to build up a brand new 36er around this new KH frame! Question: anyone knows wheth…

Information on new KH 36" frame coming out this summer.

He should make the rim tape and hub black so if you only PC the frame the hub won’t stick out as much.

yeah that would be cool, i dont like the blue hub that much, but black, thats cool and it can be put in other uni’s without looking stupid.

Thanks for the interest. As before, I release new stuff when it’s ready, and I can’t announce before-hand because so often things get delayed at the last minute. Someday the pace of development in this sport will slow enough to only release new stuff once a year like in the bike industry, but that hasn’t happened yet.

Regarding colors: the frames will be the trademark KH blue, except for one frame under development that I can’t talk about yet. There are a few good reasons for this. The main one is branding. For 99% of the market including all bikeshops, high-end unicycles are only just starting to emerge as a viable product. The KH brand is the world’s most recognizable high-end brand, and dealers need the confidence that their customers will walk into a shop and recognize these unicycles as the best ones from across the room. Consistent use of color helps a lot with that. For the same reason, most big mainstream brands use consistent colors (think Home Depot orange, IBM blue, etc.).

The second significant reason is that most mainstream distributors are barely willing to carry multiple models, let alone multiple colors on a single model. I’d like to see the KH unis in lots of shops in every country in the world, which means that I need to make it as simple and easy for them as possible. So for these reasons I’ll stick for now with the color everyone knows best.

Of course, none of this stops anyone from customizing once you own it. Some of the custom unis out there are really cool.

Exactly, I am only like 5’ tall And for trials and street, it’s really nice having it low.

Also, in Defect, Brian Lundgren is like 5’ 6" and has his seat even lower…

yeah i just put mine back down(im short too) it makes it easier to transition SI to SIF and visa versa. i also like the low feel, it makes it so i crouch my knees more and get better control

I only saw one clip of him in the entire movie… (I only recognized him once, anyway) and that was when it said his name and he did the varial plant on the tree.
