How do you guys transport your 36ers?

my current vehicle…i find getting a 24 into mine a bit awkward. a quick release i’ll have to look into. i’m trying to talk myself into getting a 29er as my second but a 36er is just too cool!

keep the 36

Good point. Though for me it’s more likely an extremely dusty tire, but in the end a tarp does a pretty good job.

I also don’t like (most of) my unicycles to get rained on if I can help it.

It rains here almost every day so constant mud :2

'97 civic coupé trunks it no problem, leaving the back seats for my 26 and trials. The 36 just barely won’t go through the door to sit in the back, if I were so inclined to try to cram it back there.

Oh god,
you mean I’d have to buy a car if I bought a 36? That makes it a pretty expensive acquisition…

Knew there was a reason for riding a 29 :stuck_out_tongue:

My daily driver is an Infiniti G37 coupe with a very small back seat, and an even smaller trunk. Since I ride almost every day at lunchtime in the far end of the parking lot, this needed to be dealt with. By folding the rear seatback down, the uni fits in the trunk with the seat going into the rear seat area. But the pedals stuck up too much to close the trunk lid. So I had to remove one pedal before putting it into the trunk. Then I got a pair of folding pedals, and it fits fine now without taking off a pedal. When I replaced the offset cranks with straight ones, it gave me even more clearance.

back seat of a small 3 door with a boot that probably wouldnt fit a 26

either that or i take the train :stuck_out_tongue:

I drive an Element with the back seats removed, there’s roof racks for extra unis or muddy unis, and a rack inside made from PVC pipe that keeps them upright.

I tend to buy cars based on cargo capacity, my next vehicle will be a Ford Transit Connect Van

And it’s got open air seating for the rear passengers, what more could she want?

@ben: I would buy one if they weren’t gutless

Mini Cooper clubman

Just bought a 36er two days ago … Fits (just) in my Mini Cooper clubman

Eye candy

A photo speaks a thousands words :). I usually wrap the seats to keep off the rain here in wet Wales, UK.

Hey guys, I get the impression you actually think I’m gonna ride that m’cycle with a 36er strapped to my back :astonished:

Heck I might as well ride 100 miles in a day :stuck_out_tongue:

100 miles in a day might be attainable though…

Lol, I know I’ve done it twice  Makes even carrying big wheels on m’cycles seem possible
