but if you dont want to spend heaps of money this one is beautiful.
well i live in canada so i want the shipping to not cost a billion pennys
If you live in Canada, order from Bedford. He has about the same stuff in his store as unicycledotcom does, just doesn’t show it on his site.
I don’t know his site’s URL, but someone else will post it.
its bedfordunicycles.ca
I like my Wyganowski. It is built to professional standards. This means it’s a little heavier than a cheaper uni, but a lot heavier-duty. I believe his freestyle frames are based on a fork crown for tandem bikes. Strong!
I have this one:

There is also the 36 spoke version for under $600. Generally 36 spokes is plenty. If you keep destroying those, you’ll know you need 48.
Options for freestyle unicycles:
Something built around the Semcycle XL Long Neck frame. Something like this, but you can get it built up with any parts that you want. Something based on the Sem Long Neck frame is going to be the least expensive of the quality freestyle unicycle options. The Sem Long Neck frame is good for freestyle. The crown is close to the tire so skills like 1-foot ww and standup 1-foot ww are theoretically easier. It has a wide crown that makes for a good perch for your foot. It can fit wider tires, like 2.1" or 2.125" tires. The longer neck means that you don’t need to use a ridiculously long seatpost if your an adult. The longer neck also moves the seatpost clamp out of the way.
A custom frame by Max Dingemans’ dad. They make custom freestyle frames. Their frames use stamped bearing holders like the Sem XL Long Neck. Being a custom frame you can get the neck of the frame made to your length. This means that you’ll have minimal seatpost exposed. They’ve got a flat crown that is close to the tire. They’re Max tested and approved. I don’t know the price, but they’re going to be more than the Semcycle frame but probably less than the Wyganowski frame. Max goes by “Max_Dingemans” here on the forum. You could PM Max or contact them through the TCUC.
A Wyganowski. You can get these made with any parts of your choosing. The unicycle in the link is just one option. These frames use the Miyata style bearing holders. The neck of the frame is cut to your custom length. It has a flat crown that is close to the tire. It’s a very strong frame. The frame can fit a max tire width of about 1.85" and that requires that the rim be very true. That’s plenty wide for indoor freestyle, but if you prefer a wider tire you’ll need to consider a different frame.
DM Ringmaster Advanced. I’ve got a DM Ringmaster Advanced customized with a Miyata seat and GB4 seatpost (and a shim to make it fit). The seat that it comes with is heavy and wasn’t to my liking. The crown is very close to the tire, but it also isn’t flat (it’s angled a bit). Probably not the best setup for standup compared to the other choices. I don’t (can’t) do standup skills so that is not an problem for me. The neck is not a custom length. The bearing holders are machined and really nice. They fit the bearings perfectly. The bearings spin super smooth (very happy bearings). Super strong frame. Professional level performer strong. And I think the frame looks sharp too. The frame can fit a 2.1" or 2.125" tire.
Next step up would be the DM Ringmaster Expert. This is a custom frame. The neck of the frame is made to your custom length. The crown is flat (unlike the DM Ringmaster Advanced). This frame was not available when I got my DM, otherwise I’d have gotten this one instead of the DM Ringmaster Advanced. It’s going to be expensive to get here in the US. It most likely would end up being more than $600. Professional level performer strong. Very nice. Here are some more links to pictures of the DM Ringmaster Expert: Ringmaster Expert gallery gallery
You’re going to want some sort of reinforced seat. Either a Miyata style seat with the GB4 Stiffener or the carbon fiber seat base. Be sure to factor that in to the cost.
A good option to stay in budget would probably be the Sem Long Neck frame or the Dingemans frame. Then you’ll have some money left over for the carbon fiber seat base. They’re both very good freestyle frames. Wtih the Dingemans frame you’ll get to have a custom length neck and other custom options.
that pic of the Sem long neck is another example of not seeing what you’ll be getting.
the rim in the pic is not a Big City rim. the Big City rim is made by Sun Rims ,thats an Alex rim in the pic.
