Unicycle Spotting / Sighting Thread

Today after work, I wanted to ride around on my trials uni in the middle of nowhere. And the I came upon another unicyclist. He lives in the same town as me, but we hardly see each other. He rides long distance on his 36”. I ride short distance on all the other wheel sizes

Ok, ok, smarty pants :stuck_out_tongue: Which thread should I be using?

I think when you see these peeps that are not on unicyclist.com, they should be saved into this thread. I also have a guy of 16 years old who lives in my town. He mostly rides his 36" with short cranks. He managed to ride 313kms within 24 hours with which he set some record. That was 2 years ago. Occasionally I meet him on my rides, but he is way beyond me in his abilities. I prefer to ride alone.

Found this in a book…

Today as I just took 15 minutes to practice my UW, which went really well, a pizza delivery guy rode by on his scooter and when I looked, he had his phone in his hand filming me. When I then jumped off he said “well done sir”.
So this time I was the one who was spotted. Who knows what happens with that video he took. I will soon be known as the local clown no doubt.

My wife took a stroll in the Pere Lachaise Cemetery this morning and sent me what has to be the patron of Unicyclists:

Research done, it’s a monument to the memory of François MIGUET who died during WWI and was a soldier from the Alpine Division - they carried (or were parachuted with) folding bikes.
Still, I’m sure he was a unicyclist.

His Yin/Yang style Unicycle with a mudguard is truly Awe Inspiring.

I’d love to see him ride it, in his cape. That will catch even more mud.

A cape. On a unicycle. Is the worst idea I can imagine. Even with aforementioned mudguard!

It will catch only mud if he is real lucky and fast!
