I found this picture on twitter. Not much info with it. I assume it is a publicity stunt or unicycling is more popular in Europe than I thought.
Here is a news article from a quick google search.

I hope that is serious, i love that so much!
I was going to say that’s a photoshop… and with the cranks/pedals/seat height of every uni in that picture in the exact or near exact same position I think I’ll stick with what I was going to say.
But you never know. Maybe a photoshop for a real event. I certainly wouldn’t put it past someone.
Here is another tweeted photo
with the tweet:
“Boris Johnson is in Russell Sq trying to persuade an Elizabethan lady in a ruff to ride a Barclays unicycle”
So much for the photoshop theory. But of course and Elizabethan lady is a little out of place.
For unicycle tweets:

Ha. Go figure.
Well, it’s a cute advertising stunt.
The ‘elizabethan lady’ looks to be Barbara Windsor (been in a soap opera for years, but before that was infamous for her ‘sexy’ roles in the “Carry On” series of movies) as she advertises that ‘Bingo’ company on TV.
Hopefully it’ll generate more interest in Unicycles in the Capital - there’s no such thing as bad publicity
Now it is on uniycle.uk.com’s website. They are using UDC Club Unicycles.
I wish I lived in the area. I would go take one for a spin.
That is the coolest thing I’ve seen all week!
I rent one
I think almost anyone on the forums would.
They should put some 36ers in there
I’m almost tempted to make a trip to London just in order to casually wander up and ride off on one of those.
Half off bike rentals. Half off, bike rentals. Half off bike, rentals.
Go for it, and post the video!!
Ha you were right!
That’s nutty. Wonder what the actual business reason for this thing is? In any case, it’s cool for us!
Also I like the fenders. They probably had to add them to provide some real estate for the branding. But it adds a little style to some otherwise very ordinary unicycles!
we all should get fenders like that!
Publicity.
I’d guess from the name that Jackpotjoy is a lottery company. A quick Google search suggests it might be an online bingo company. Whatever, this is just advertising.
And to match the look of the Barclays bikes.
It’s funny, because it’s Montreal’s Bixi Society that sold the concept to the city of London in 2009, and we were thinking of doing a similar campaign here in Montreal at the approach of Unicon 17 to promote the event.
