Really enjoyed the video, thanks for highlighting this. I just took delivery of my new Tritao frame today; this makes me even more excited to get it built up and ride it!

So beautiful! The craftsmanship is just what you would expect from a top quiality frame builder, and even with it unbuilt, I can feel already the high stiffness to this frame. All in brushed titanium, and the crown and bearing holders are 3d printed. Just a quick photo as I got home yesterday doesnt even really do it justice!
Can’t transfer parts over from my old uni yet as the mad4one seatpost is too tight a fit so I’m waiting for an impact one which I’m reliably informed does. So hopefully by mid week I’ll have that and get it built.

@On_a_wheel has also just received and built up a new Tritao frame and I know @mindbalance has one from the 1st batch of their 3d printed uni frames too

This looks amazing! When can we meet for a ride so I can have a go :winking_face_with_tongue: ?

Wow, what a beauty! That’s really a sweet frame.
I don’t dare asking what it cost, but I dare asking how light it is…

Oh, and the bearing holders appear to be Schlumpf compatible. Hope the frame legs are, too.

It certainly set me back a few quid (1200 Euros), but I only really have one uni, and it’s my main hobby, so don’t mind investing a bit in it. Will I really feel the difference over any other frame?!; Maybe, maybe not, but it’s really cool having something so unique and it’s definitely more durable and so if nothing else, should last me a long time.
I’ll have to weigh it before I build it and see.
I’m not sure about schlumpf compatibility for my frame, as I won’t be using it for that purpose, but the frames are built to the exact spec that you request so I’m sure they can be.

Well, I guess if it‘s your only uni (how can you live with only one, particularly if it‘s your main hobby?) the price is a bit less critical than if you buy more unis than, say, new clothes.

They can build pretty much any geometry, right? I genuinely wonder whether they could build a V-Frame design for a G36. That, in my mind, would be the ultimate racing machine. Light, stiff and capable of supporting an aerobar setup. But I shudder to imagine the cost, on top of a Schlumpf hub :money_mouth_face:

it’s a bargain if you compare the costs with another midlife crisis project like a Harley-Davidson.

You could probably get something similar from @jaco_flans … I don’t know where he is yet about Ti frames, but he has been working on it for quite some time (as far as I know, he has at least one muni in Ti, but doesn’t currently sell frames).

My ambitions are midlife crisis sized, but my budget is still quarter-life sized :grimacing:

Well I only really interested in Muni so I just need 1 decent Muni. Also the Mrs would notice an extra uni every few months, but not an upgrade to the only uni every few months

That‘s an interesting approach! On the other hand, if you manage to achieve a critical mass, you’re likely capable to sneak in another uni unnoticed. And there are only so much upgrades possible on a single uni…

all it takes is 1 frame, 1 seat, a handlebar, a brake and 15 different wheels.

I was expecting you to say „all it takes are 15 different ultimate wheels“…

I am aware there is more in this world than just Ultimate Wheels, but yeah the first thing I think about when waking up is my UW and when driving to work, I look at all the cycle paths and wonder how far I could come on those while riding UW. My biggest issue now is free-mounting, so I spend a lot of time thinking of different more controlled ways to mount it. Im totally hooked.
