I used to do it alot before i had pallets but now i only do it every noe and then.My best is around 100 too
I can get 83cm with a 180 over a bar
The trick is to do them WAY late.
Yesterday my dad brought home 8 pallets for me, so I can’t wait to work on sidehops and make some little trial lines. I did 65cm static, which made me feel okay, since I haven’t been riding a whole lot lately..but I’m making a new video, so I’m pretty excited. Though, I am quite sore.. ![]()

Why do most people say KH is better when most of the pro’s are using Koxxs, like Joe Hodges, Tom Pec, Loic Baud and Mark Fabian?
Because those riders are in Europe, and most riders in Europe Ride Koxx-one unis or Qu-ax.
I thought Joe Hodge didn’t used Koxx-one unis anymore.
And because koxx sponsores more riders. These riders get free parts.
He rides for Exceed Uni Products… what ever that is… Not sure if he uses KH, K1, or some other unicycle now.
Why do most riders in Europe ride Koxx then?
Im guessing its because Koxx are a french brand and easier to get hold of. Although its not hard to get a KH.
Really want to start trying to improve at trials again having come 4th in UK trials comp. Need to beat that pesky Joe Baxter at least next year. ![]()
Yup! Koxx-one is a french brand, you can probably get a Koxx-one uni anywhere in europe. That why people in europe ride Koxx-one unis.
advertisement on koxx is alot stronger especially in france. They use their own forums - in french - where the general feeling is that koxx is the best brand. They have many sponsored riders in france and kris holm has none till now - adrien delacroix.
Here on these forums people are very pro kris holm. On the other people are pro koxx. Simple as that.
Buying kh parts is just as easy in france kahero, cdk all stock as many kh parts as unicycle.com and definately more koxx stuff. Unicycle.com stocks very little koxx parts.
Thats cool. Me and my bro were outside and I was doing a little big of sidehop practice and I could tuck 4 pallets (56-57cm)
and by static do you mean on the spot with no prehop or just a sidehop with a prehop?
Probably just a sidehop on the spot with no prehop. When doing static many do like trials bikers, and get into the tucking position then spring upward only using the legs to propel one self.
Has anyone hopped onto poles about 65-70 cm high? I usually only see pedalgrabs to poles, so I wonder if anyone actually is any good at it.
how big are they? I can hop on poles of 5-10cm and 70cm high I think ![]()
I don’t know how high they are, the poles are in videos with people like Hodges and Schulze. Maybe I’m just dreaming about doing the previous line, when they hop onto the poles. ![]()
I always manage to get hurt attempting that, thats why I pedalgrab them.
ooh today i managed to get my pedal onto 85cm (trampoline rim), SI prehop
if im right the difference between the floor and base of the tire when its on the trampoline rim is 60cm, but when i try to just hop 60cm i fail miserably? anyone got any ideas?
wow today was a horrible day for me as far as unicycles. i couldnt land a 4 pallet side hop wich is usually easy 4 me! anyone else ever have days like this???![]()
yep, its just a bad day. I had one yesterday, I barely got 70 cm after so many attempt, which i should be able to get easily. Today was a good day though :), got over 80, and got 70 really easily.
Anyone know of a site that show trials parks in th U.S.?
