It won’t hurt if you land it.
It only is a little bit annoying, and when you get a huge pedal bite you wish you would have wore them. But I figured I had 7s down good enough. Done a ton of them without pads and I’m fine.

Today i went out to try 540 side 
i havent been close once before but today i landed on both pedals in 10mins but i didnt manage to grab the seat and jump after 5 more minutes i landed it and manage to jump after so im pretty happy right now

In the last few days I landed my first suicide mount, got a new trials tire, and learned how to wheelwalk (my record is about 40 feet). Also I sprained my thumb.

You should go for them! They’re a lot easier then 7spins I think. Because on a 7spin, you have to spin so slow. And start seat backwards too. Land to seat in.
