Just after 7 months of riding? Wow, I’ve ridden about the same time, but I’m not even nearly as good as he is. I can’t do 2 meter drops, jump over 80 cm, do smallspins, 360s, do a 8 sets and stuff. I can do 1 m drop, jump 40-50 cm, 180s and clear 5 or 6 set. Yeah, I haven’t practised much for awhile, but that’s crazy anyway.
No, I’ve been riding for 9 months now, but this movie was filmed over 7 months. It’s not that impressive, a friend of mine has been riding for 1 month and is about equal to me (I have to say, he has a really good teacher;) ). He will soon become the next World Champion I’m sure…

wow..ive been riding about 9monhts and cant land a unipsin, but have landed them before…then i got my orange bud and it feels wierd with it.. my trials isnt too bad and im learning to grind…
I think that using a 20" bmx wheelset instead of a trials wheelset on street unis would open up more possiblities for street riding. They’re easier to spin and flip because of the lighter wheel and they make reverts(does anyone else use this term yet) easier. Oppinions?
I previously learned to crankflip, and wanted to take it further off of a ledge. so i went to my neighbors house where they have a 3’ ledge, and i went to crankflip off of it, and the cranks turned, and in med air, i lost balance, and sucked my feet up so i wouldn’t kill my legs. my feet went onto the crown in the middle of the air, and the cranks were still turning. i hit the ground and the impact forced my legs down to the cranks, and i hopped twice trying to keep my balance, and then i fell.
i would like to see someone intentionally accomplish that. a crankflip, then suck your legs up to the crown, then put ur legs back down to land it.
i could call it, a ralley flip.
Thats what I am riding now…as of today actually. I just finished putting it together.
This is my setup:
Seat: Wallis CF base with treaded inserts with CF bumper and modified KH handle (to fit the same bolt pattern)
Frame: Cool long neck frame that Evan made me with a huge crown for stand up stuff
Hub/cranks: kh 05 127mm (really good for flatland)
Rim: Odyssey 7ka
Tire: Currently a red kenda kontact but I will probably be changing it
Pedals: White plastics
I am riding it at a high(ish) pressure, I think its just below 40psi. I am finally getting used to it. Its a much smoother ride, everything feels more exact and less mushy.
sounds awesome, can’t wait to see it, especially that custom EB frame.
i just thought of another great uni move.
i dont know the name of it, but its possible to drop the seat, and keep riding.
i would like to see someone incorperate a unispin to that. it would be incredibly hard.
while the seat is down, flick the whole thing around, and land it.. that would be impressive
simpsons did it.
jk, but yea, its been done.
edit: idk about the unispin seatdrop though.
in universe 2, Daike does a seat drag body varial.
Evan hates the frame a lot, he keeps telling me to throw it away. I like it though.
Its 4130 and the legs are streamline tubing. Evan accidentally welded the crown 1/8" too far forward (I think thats why he hates it) so he is going to make me a bunch more.
The crown and cranks are now covered in bright green griptape but I did that after I took the pictures because the color is painful to look at.
The seat is pretty painful to sit on because I used such a slim piece of foam.
dude that’s sweet!
Blind 360 feels way cooler normal.
Also, blind grinds are sick.
yeah i saw in ur vid…they look like fun…
so are blind crank stalls onto benches…
has anyone tried to grind backwards on a hand rail…i think that would be sick…
or anyone grinded up a hand rail before..
Was that blind down the 4 in your vid?
For everyone who asks what kind of pedals I use…
They’re just plastic pedals from a bike shop with grip tape stuck on. And I grind with an animal hamilton pedal.
Yes they do, for some reason I’m very weird about 360’s:
I natrually 360 to the left, except for static/slow mobing 360’s in which case it is easier for me to spin right.
Also, when I ride slowly and 360 to the right, I can spin a complete 360 smoother then when I spin left at all.
I’m not really “blind” either way on them, actually…
That is exactly how I am.
got a question for all
what cranks do you reckon are best for flips?..
the moment kris holm ones seem to be the best. how long are they?
137mm. I really like them for flips, but backs and double backs are way easier with shorter cranks, I think.
