Wahrscheinlich wäre es gar nicht so nachteilig, wenn du lange genug warten könntest, um schon eine Nabe der neuen Generation mit größer dimensioniertem Lager zu bekommen, welches wohl standfester sein sollte.

Regarding the bearings - it looks like one of the reasons for premature wear on the bearings was that we were too conservative in how tight we recommended the knurled bearing had to be clamped (ie. we recommended it to be tightened too much), resulting in the typical wear you get on a uni with overly clamped bearing housings. It wasn’t the only factor - hence why the new hubs are coming with larger triple bearings - but was a big factor nonetheless. The assembly manual has been updated …

I was just getting ready to go out for my 6th guni ride when I noticed a squiggly piece of metal hanging off my hub. Upon close inspection, I noticed visible ball bearings and then I began to weep. My brand new Schlumpf appears to be out of commission and I’ve only had it for a week. I still need to write to Florian, but here are some pictures. Was hoping others might be able to provide some insight.
