I’ll keep that in mind for the future, maybe once the holiday travel season calms down we can setup a ride in NoVa. Do you know any of the other riders up there?

Im in Nova, but as far as unicycling goes, I will primarily be training and doing long distance rides.
Yeah I passed through Great Falls, MD during my C&O canal ride in June. Unicycles and bikes are definitely allowed on the towpath, but I didn’t stay long enough to check out any technical trails. The bedrock terrace forest and Potomac rapids are amazing, but off limits for any traffic (a railed boardwalk winds through it). I’ll take any excuse to go back, I resent not hanging around longer on my trip. If you’re into nature, it would make a great XC ride.
I’m free this Friday anytime until 5. Belle Isle’s fine with me.
BTW, I now have a functioning coker. James, are you up for another go at Mt. Vernon? Maybe all the way to DC this time?
Yeah man, any time you want to I am down. I have been doing a lot of long distance, most recently a 41 mile ride. Im planning a 56 mile ride for Wed. from my house to DC and back if you also wanna join me on that one.

Frank, if you are coming up anytime soon, let me know if you are interested in a trials/street ride in DC. Anyone else for that matter. I went there to ride with Jamey (unicycle6869) a few days back and found some nice spots to ride.

Directions and a map from the last MUni weekend:
From places north:
Take 95 S.
Take exit 76 B.
Take 1st left onto Leigh St.
Take right at 1st light onto Belvidere.
Go about 8 blocks and turn left on Cary St.
go about 9 blocks and turn right on 5th St.
At end of 5th St. (about a mile or so), turn right on Tredegar St.
Go a 1/4-1/2 mile, parking lot will be on your right.
From places south:
Take 95 N.
As you approach the city, take the “5th St.” exit
Follow 5th St. to the end, turn right on Tredegar St.
Go a 1/4-1/2 mile, parking lot will be on your right.
I’ll be there. I’ll have my coker in the parking lot too, just to show it off. Also, I met a photographer from Style Weekly that’s interested in doing a story on us. I’ll email him today and see if he can make it out tomorrow, but it’s probably too short notice this time around.

I got the email/invite, thanks. I don’t check this site everyday, so that’s a good way to let everyone in the area know what’s coming up.
I’m working tomorrow, but I’ll probably be able to swing a half day and be there at noon.
I can ride the uni OK, but I’ve not really done any muni riding. I’ve just started riding again after a long absence, so I’m a rusty novice. And my uni is a crapper from Agees.
OK, I think I’ve set expectations low enough that I can come hang out. It’ll be cool to meet some other uni riders.

Richmond MUni Ride
Buttermilk Trail, this Sunday, 1/7/2007, at Noon.
The meet spot is in the Reedy Creek parking lot just off of Riverside Drive.
I was thinking about either Belle Isle or Forest Hill Park this weekend, not for anything enduring, but just to ride the downhills-- Actually there’s a lot at Forest Hill that I haven’t checked out yet…
