I’d also recommend and early start. Saturday shouldn’t have a rush-hour as such, but it will be quieter at 7.30am than at 9.30am on a Saturday I’d think - before more people are up and about on their weekend trips.
It would be really good to get out of the more dense London roads earlier - so I’d go with Paul on starting at 7.30am.

Hi Guys. I’m new on here - only being unicycling since last year - worked up to my 36" uni two months ago so I’m in for the London to Brighton run on my 36" uni. Look forward to seeing you guys there.
Publisity is great for getting charity money, it may also cause us problems. We would need to be sure to emphasis that this is not an organised ride and is just unicyclists getting together and riding the route.
He is the obviously the one to be on it since he was the one who was refused and he does live in the South East. He suggests that we also ask Sam to go along. So we have Tom who is reletively new to the game and Sam who is unicycling super star there?
Hello all . . . Seems as though this thread has caused some media intrest .
The One Show has approximately 4.4 million viewers on average ( I would imagine more on the long Friday show). The segment that they seem to be interested in putting it in is Rippon’s Brittan, so although I’m mildly apprehensive, the fact that I’m raising money for charity means that really I cant say no .
It’s a short segment and may not end up in the program but hey . . . it’s worth a shot.
Roger’s point is very important to all involved - - - This is not, as such, an ‘organised ride’. I am doing my own alternative ride from London to Brighton due to the fact that I was refused entry to the British Heart Foundations Ride. Big thanks to all who have said that they will ride along with me, and to those who have either donated to my chosen charity or are providing support.
Open invitation - Unicycle London to Brighton - July 16th 2011.
