Pictures of your latest ride

Man I wish I had a gondolla lift and some real mountains right in my backyard! :sunglasses:

I went on a little ride the other day and did a bit of photography :smiley:

and then a few of the woods :smiley:

not too bad for a phone and a 3 mega pixel camera :smiley:

Awesome phone pix, grape! But Turtle had the spectacular one. My favorite part about that shot, aside from the tiny town below, is the cable, presumably to hold onto when on two feet! You sure love the vert, Turtle. I’d love to come out there some day for a MUni Week. :slight_smile:

You managed to sum up my loss for words right now. Somehow ‘Wow!’ just doesn’t seem to do it justice.

The next time we have a British Muni Weekend, I vote it is held in Lichtenstein!

Turtle, you are nuts, don’t forget you have a wonderful family to take care of. On a ride like that, how much do you actually ride? Is that the whole country below? Nice shot!

Wow! Turtle your pictures is amazing! Can I post it on www.pinkbike.com? maybe you’ll have a Picture of the day for it:)

There are too many of similar calibur to so quickly make that statement IMO.

Turtle himself seems to post a similarly amazing pick about once a month :sunglasses:

yeah… you could not begin to imagine how envious I am or turtle lol! That is amazing, reminds me of looking out the side of a plane :sunglasses:

After seeing that pic, I’m glad I don’t! :astonished:

My palms are getting sweaty from half a world away!

Rottnest Island on a 36er…

Hi,

Here are a couple of shots from my ride around Rottnest Island, off the coast of Western Australia from Perth. Did the island in 1 day, including the climbs upto the lighthouse and old naval gun battery…it’s a great place to ride, and would be an awesome location for a uni-marathon. Enjoy!!! :slight_smile:

Cheers,

Dan

dmacuni - That last picture has a pretty awesome glow to it

dmacuni nice pictures, I like the 3rd one the best.

i’m a safe rider, i ride only the parts where i feel real safe (like you said, i’ve got a family to take care of). that means i do also some hiking on trails like that.
it’s not the whole country below, but the half :stuck_out_tongue:

@jaco: yes

@semach: we organize every spring a muni weekend (elsbet), you’re welcome!

@john: you’re welcome too!

on parts like that for example (but also some others;) ):

Oh come on!

Surely you can pedalgrab your way up that ladder?!?

king of munipics

don´t fear for turtle, he´s a very save municyclist, you could see this life at the elsbet which is a really high quality event!
and there are a few other excellent municyclists, which you see never or very seldom on pics, but turtle is the absolut king of munipics in europe:D

Of course it helps, quite a bit, that he has such easy access to some very spectacular mountains and trails. :roll_eyes: I know, I know, I’m insanely jealous… Keep up the awesome photos turtle they are a huge motivation for me, stuck here in the dirty south… :frowning:

but… but… they don’t even look safe to HIKE!

Fantastic shots Turtle. It’s great that you can play in places like that, and that you actually go out and do it.

Turtle, you have some memorable photos there. (That’ll be Turtle recall then.)

Absolutely marvelous. I almost wish I were you, instead of this embittered office bound middle aged bloke in a backwater of the East Midlands.:wink:
