Pictures of your latest ride

I’m feeling you man. I put a 2.1" Vee Rubber 10 tire on in place of my nice light 700x37c Pasela and also switched down from 140 mm to 125 mm cranks, then took it out for a 90 minute ride around town yesterday. There could have been some bonk involved and I’m sure heat the figures in too, but man was I beat today. But it only makes us stronger, right?

Love the winged-pigged bike rack!

That’s the dicipline I miss most after I had to (forced) quit bicycling: track; and in particular the forces in couple racing!
But I don’t miss falling on wooden tracks! The souvenirs are bad if you want to have a soft smooth skin.
Nice picture.

That’s on my commute so I ride by there all the time.

One night I stopped at the races and the announcer announced “unicycles can’t race even though they are direct drive and no brakes”. It’s not like any unicycle is capable of keeping up with the bikes going 30-40+ mph.

I also overheard a couple volunteers, one asked - is he going to race on that? and the other said “I hope so.”

That’s the one, and the size is correct.

Got a nursery next door with about a 1 1/2 mile loop of dirt road. Soft dust now and mud all winter.

Blackpool Ride the Lights

on Tuesday, I took a long journey to Blackpool - For those who don’t know, it’s a coastal resport type town in the north of England, and is supposed to be our answer to Vegas. It’s the time of year where they turn all the lights on, and Tuesday was a day when they close the road off to cars and let the cyclists take over!

Obviously there were thousands of two-wheelers - families, lycra-clad racers, couples, teenagers on BMX’s and swing-bikes. There also seemed to be a club of Sinclair C5 users (I’d never seen one of these in person, so to see a few dozen of them was cool!). Lots of one-wheelers turned up, and as always got lots of great responses! Lots of people dressed up in crazy light costumes.

Ahhhh PieceMaker…I’m just too late in getting my 36er for that Blackpool ride. I bet it was awesome!

I have a photo in my album that’s pretty much identical to your second pic. Have you been up and stood on the glass floor? I was there 3 weeks ago and yes, I went up :sunglasses:

Please keep me posted on any other rides like this that you go on.

I didn’t know about the Blackpool ride, but if I did I’d of being there. Can’t say I’m the best rider out there, but it would have been one more body on one wheel. I must remember to set a reminder for next year.

Welcome to the forum!!
Where in the country are you?

Never went up Blackpool tower, but I’ve been up the French version

If you have Facebook, I find these rides on the ‘unicycle north west’ page. The guys there are really friendly whether you’re a noob or a pro, and seem to arrange a few of their own rides as well as gate-crashing just about every cycling event round here

I missed last year’s Blackpool one, as I’d only been riding a month or so, so made sure to come to this year’s.

On rides like this, don’t worry too much about being a good rider (or not, as the case may be!). I’ve been on two SkyRide’s plus this, and they’re mostly full of casual cyclists as opposed to wannabe TdF pro’s, so if you fall off occasionally you won’t be yelled at as long as you don’t run someone over. Just gotta learn to free-mount in a small space, as people tend to gather round the red lights

So fun to dress up, ride the big passes, (with no cars) and follow the US Pro Cycling Challenge. This was top of McClure Pass before the racers came through.

Last week at the “sella massiv” in the dolomites. Some more: Birthday Downhill - Lutz Eichholz

Juni, I’m just up in Cumbria. I went for a ride in the fells last night, but didn’t get any pictures as the light wasn’t right! I’ll have to look up that group on Facebook Piecemaker.

The extent of my muni these days consists of train tracks and a small bunny hill. I’ll take what I can get. Had fun on The Fatty. I don’t think I like having the T bar on trails. I might just keep it for road riding.

Outside of Oslo. Picture taken by timoteusmunk.

Hi Unibri,

I like the T-bar for Muni, it gives me more control.
But I made it more narrow and very close to the saddle.
Otherwise I hurt my knees in a UPD.
Just my 3 cents.

Tom

Thanks! Maybe I’ll shorten it.

Taken yesterday after the NYCunifest 13 mile ride from Brooklyn Bridge to Coney Island. Big thank you to the organizers and the Kosher Cyclists http://koshercyclists.com/ for all the Marshaling help.
