Did a trials session at the University of Cape Town over the weekend. Was my first real trials session as I spend most of my Uni time riding off-road in the forest and mountains.
Joe,
I was going to ask where around Nottingham that trail is but I’m guessing from Semach’s comment that you’ve moved.
Just asking as I’m trying to find some more local places around Notts to ride.

Bonus ontour video:
Yup, it’s Belper over in derbyshire (Longwall Lane to be exact). I’m working at home today and i can see rolling hills out of the window that are all too tempting!
As for places to ride muni in nott, have you ridden bramcote hill / hemlock stone? A load of good trails there, even though it’s a small area. There is also Bestwood although i don’t know it so well, and then Blidworth and all those woods that go up to Sherwood Pines.
Also there is an email group on google groups called emugroup which is us from east midlands unicyclists. We play hockey in Derby and also we do muni rides quite often. Worth joining if you’re interested in muni rides and don’t mind a few emails a week about hockey etc.

I missed a lot of pics in my day of absence, beautiful views, pretty girls, and some fun looking rides.
Dartmoor commute
A few pics on my way home from work this evening. Not fantastic pictures (sun was a bit low and the wrong side, that’s my excuse anyway), but I’ll post some anyway. Even managed to get myself in one pic - never played with the self-timer before… not easy sprinting over rocks and mounting the coker, on rough gravel, in 10 seconds :o
Rob
Can’t wait to see all the pics after the tour is over!
Wow… lucky you. Beautiful!!!
turtle, love those junior/senior photos- your a good dad!
these photos are from yesterdays ride. 25km of a mix of dirt/pavement. winter is still hanging on here in the colorado rockies. only got snowed on the last 20 minutes of the ride, felt good at that point. peace
Spencer & I doing a quick 10 miler round my new local trails. The picture is me on a hill of considerably more rockyness and rootyness and steepness than it appears from the photo.
Joe
back up on generoso, trying to go steeper with shorter kranks and no brakes
i anyway found a very efficient way to stop:
If deep goes to depth, then surely steep goes to “stepth”.
So I think you mean “rotundity and stepth.”
Lovely picture. Where is it?
Just outside Belper. Approx where the blue dot is;
