Niklas, Welcome to the forum.
Don’t be sorry for the pictures, let’s see more.
Looks like a great area to ride. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah Niklas
Welcome
This is a piccy from last night. About 21:30 as the sun appeared through the clouds. This is my UDC 26’ , I’ve bought a ‘seconds’ Impact seat and I was trying it out for the first time.
Thanks. ![]()
Hey Niklas, ignore my extremely poor sense of humor. I wasn’t slamming you at all, just being goofy. Welcome to the forum, it’s a great place! ![]()
Rode 20 miles this morning on my Titan. Nice underused section of trail with little human contact meant a peaceful and quiet ride.
My best numbers so far on the 36er, with just 2 UPDs and successful mounts 13 of 15 tries. I think it’s easier to mount when there’s no one watching.
Getting ready to start.
Standing in front of a barge traffic sign.
Mostly followed along the river.
I see you got one after posting on my thread
How you liking it? (Just been trawling this thread as it’s my favourite on here!)
Went on the perfect ride today. Probably my favorite of all time actually. Had a good sustained climb, and the descent was awesome.
Of course, when I got home, I went to add some sealant to my tire, and ended up spending the entire evening trying to get my beads seated. Once they finally did seat, I realize now that I must have dropped something in there casue I can hear it bouncing around. And I used up all my Stans…
I finally get my 36er grooving and then I do something to F it up. This sucks.
Anyway here’s a couple pics. Not sure who the guy is… Looks keen eyed and witty though.
You don’t happen to be Niklas W. do you?
Nope im Niklas J.
It’s cool :p. thanks ![]()
I see, well, welcome to the forums anyway!
Went on a lunch ride today. I managed 1.5 miles today without a UPD. 102 degrees – yikes!
Glad to hear you had a good ride. Where did you start?
I started at a turnoff just before Trappers. Then turned off to Snowbasin, too Old Snowbasin Road, and rode that back to where I was parked. I’m going back tomorrow I think, and may try for a double loop! My quads weren’t cramping last time, so I can definitely do more. I could also just do the climb in reverse, and it would be less steep, but more sustained.
Glad to see that 36er racking up some saddle time!
Once you’re comfortable on that 36er, the road to the Frary Peak trailhead out on Antelope Island has a 23% grade that begs to be ridden!

Me too! ![]()
You are braver than I. By the time 8:30 am rolls around I’m off my uni and hiding inside. It is too damn hot out there for me, but then again, I’m workig hard just to stay on my uni right now. I go anaerobic at the sight of a hill! ![]()
Met up with old Uni forum member “Skrobo”, (Steven) visiting from Texas. We rode MUni at Sullivan canyon this morning and had a great time! Steven is one of the best long jumpers there is! He went for an 8 foot rolling gap, but there was literally no landing area! He was riding my kh 24 and is more used to a trials uni.
First day MUNI for my son.
I decided to take the day off and took my son to Bradbury Mountain for his first try at light MUNI. We had a great time. He worked really hard at tackling some of the roots and making it through some really deep pools of mud. I guess he may need some knobby tires for the Torker LX 20 inch. He did not want to leave, we covered several miles of both rooty and easy trails and we both loved it.
I was riding my Nimbus Drak 29 inch. It seems so small after riding a 36 for a few months.
Park City skatepark:
Great shots,
That first guy better hurry up tho, he’s got 4 butt sniffers on his tail ![]()
40 mile +2(ish)
Rode 40 miles today on my KH36, my personal record. The trail was in rough shape due to recent flooding, but that just made things more interesting. Then I met up with the Capital District Unicycle Club for a few more miles around Schenectady Central Park (last photo)… “little tired, but not two tired.”
Neat looking area. How’d your backside fare after 40 miles? Any tips to keep things comfortable? Were there a lot of breaks during the ride or was it pretty constant riding?
