Sydney commute
This is an abridged video of my 36 guni commute in Sydney.
love it Richard, even recognised a few places. What headcam were you using?
How far is comute?
It’s a gopro camera. Very small and I such good resolution.
I plan to carry one facing backwards under my seat just for those moments when I am cut off by a Sydney taxi or other selfish driver.
Interestingly on this morning, and in the vid, I was idling at a stop sign and a taxi driver, with the right of way, waved me on.
From a recent 25 mile ride in Montgomery County, Maryland on mostly singletrack through three parks.
Two from this today’s ride. First, Can’t believe how colorful some of the trees still are up here.
Second, another addition to my series “Neat places in Minneapolis I’ve ridden past at night.”
ps:
I get that all the time. Almost 95% of the time at stop signs.
Munimag, that looks like some nice riding. Who was the photographer?
I should make a postcard from this one.
back from a 3 day trip in the italien national parc “val grande”. i hired Tim Shaw from www.piemont-trekking.de as my guide, so i didn’t have to take the four main routes. that means we’ve been all 3 days in the woods and on the mountains or passes, sometimes on old, unknown trails or just a trail. that meant also more hiking then riding, with a backpack on the back with all the gear for the 3 days: food, sleeping bag etc. hard piece of work, especially the uphills also with the uni on the back. also downhill riding, when it was possible was a new experience with the heavy backpack. but the parc and the nature were just great! i’ll come back for sure!
Well done Philippe!
This is making me so jealous… but my wrist is slowly recovering anyway, after 3 weeks of rest, so I look forward to riding again with you pretty soon!
Won’t work though for this week-end, cause I’m away for a wedding, but who knows? perhaps next week-end will be OK?
Great pictures, BTW.
Cheers, Pascal/MadC.
Nice pics I expect to do same kind of “raid” one day.
Thanks for your comment Pascal. Be sure that I will be pleased to ride again with you !
Last week-end I was again at Chamechaude. One week before I tied with the 26". Last Saturday with my recently purchased second hand KH20 :
Light an handy 20" was just delight in abrupt part or to jump between rocks or roots(forest part)…
This time I had a small rope between backpack and Unicycle to avoid the Uni lost (and potentially hiker injuries) during the numerous fall…
Nico on his 26" :
I broke my seatpost into two pieces last night.
Scottish waterfall ride

lol, this pic is rather depressing
“Edwardlee” has rightly put his mark on that shot. Excellent! I especially like what appears to be dirt all over you. Having fun out there?
Only thing that shot could use is to blank out that orange wire cover; to move you from civilization to anywhere.
Did some muni today at Burnaby Mountain. Pretty good turnout and a good time. I didn’t bring my camera but I snapped a group shot with the phone.
I got a Lensse steadicam and chased Steve and Jeff through Harold Parker State Forest… I’m rendering the video at the moment.
I presume the chap in the middle without a muni owns the two wheeler he’s tried to hide, and has stepped away from it out of embarrassment?
Looks like Kris has a prototype disc brake KH uni
(or it could be a Mountain Uni kit, but those don’t look like Sinz cranks)
Is it just me, or does it look like the shortest person is running with the largest wheel in the group?
The picture was taken after the ride and his muni was already packed onto the bike. =)
Good eye, the caliper mount is welded onto the frame and those are his new cranks. He says they should be out next summer.
Haha An’So does make that 26er look huge.
