Hey I’ve been to that lighthouse and across the bridge!! And nice pics davidp!
Wales is wet but…
My new 36 on its first day out. Wales is dry now and the dust on the wheel after the ride is as fine as flour
i love that more then mud
Went for a ride along the coastal cliffs today. Past the half way point I hesitate to call route I took paved, more like light uphill muni. I really underestimated the gradient but 10km of uphill ‘muni’ was certainly great training! ![]()
Me and My Uni - Mt Snowdon

Here are some pics from the “Three Ring Circus” 50km MTB race I did on the weekend on my GMuni. It was a great day- I was joined by fellow unicyclist Rob O’brien from the Blue Mountains (dragonfly on the forums). I’ll do a full write up and post more pics when i get the time,
Mark
thats an epic looking ride ![]()
+1
good job napalm and dragonfly!
What were your results?
50km in 3hrs 25min 04 sec from start to finish gate. Ride time was actually quite a bit shorter (there was a log jam of riders at the first section of single track and I lost 10 min there). According to my cycle computer full ride time (which should be pretty accurate because I didn’t stop otherwise) was 3hrs 15min 38 sec.
That put me at 412th out of 627 riders who completed the course. There was also about 70 riders who DNF’d because they did not complete the whole course.
I took about 10 min off my time from last year (same course) which was good. I felt much stronger in the climbs and had a better time out on the course because I was slightly familiar with it (no soul destroying false tops giving me hope of respite from the sustained climbs in the last lap!)
All in all, good training for the 100km race I have this weekend.
Mark
Impressive stuff Mark! ![]()
Napalm kicked arse.
I was about 5 minutes behind him coming into the logjam of single track so I lost about 25 minutes.
Actual riding time for me was 3:50 odd, about 40 minutes behind Napalm
I went to hard in the single track trying to make up some time and burned too much energy. Full kudos to Mark, he’s an animal.
I also raced the 26 guni with the cranks on 125 which had me standing up too much so I think I need to go to either 137 or 150 next time.
I’m not complaining though cause I had a blast and I came second in my category and I’m learning more every time I race.
Only 2 of us in it but I won a new helmet for my efforts

And I’ve also got another 50 km MTB race this weekend. Just hope my legs recover in time.
Again and still vacation in Croatia, live couldn’t be better
Enjoying the friendly people, lovely surroundings and last but not least very sunny conditions in Croatia while the rest of Europe is drowning… dued to heavy rainfalls…
Share my ‘great’ moments…
