Great pictures! Those clouds look cool!
Continuing with the winter theme
took the 29er on the ski area today, felt like i was on cloud 9, as the riding was perfect. much harder to slow the 29er down on the snow, i usually ride the 24. locking it up and controlled slide down the slope is a challenge, but the best way to slow er down, and a total blast:)
happy holidays everyone
26". The only unicycle I really ride much at the moment (except for hockey).

Spencer and I celebrated the winter solstice by going on a night ride. A quick spin of about 10 miles, over hard frozen snow. I don’t think I’ve fallen off so much on a ride for a long time. If it wasn’t the sliding on things, it was hitting a frozen rut at the wrong angle. I also got quite wet legs trying to ride a ford, as I discovered that the 2 foot of snow on the edge of the stream was actually sheet ice, and got dumped into the stream. Brrrr. What a good ride.

Raced in a 2-hr mtb race in Schenectady on Sunday. This is a great course we race a few times a year, but was cut short this year by the crusty snow. I ended up 3rd out of 5 in the ‘sport’ category, partly because I was able to carry the uni over the crap faster than the bikers could carry their wheels. Always fun to place ahead of b*kes. However, the course was probably 3/4 rideable, and quite fun. I brought a skinny studded tire but found the fat unstudded to be better for these conditions.

Way to go, Ro!
I’ve been interested in taking my uni to ski resorts here. I’m wondering how much trouble it was to convince the resort to allow you to take it.
Did you ‘know someone’? Is this a resort that does lift-access mountain biking in the summer?
Great pictures…freshly groomed snow seems like it would be perfect. Any attempts on the moguls? ![]()
Oh he not only knows someone, he is that someone.
Good one Steveyo:D
Yes, we ride all of it, if the snow quality is good. Firm base with 10 -20 cm of powder on top is sweeeeet. Breakable or too soft is just not rideable. A bit of advice, going downhill on snow is a blast, and you might bend your fun meter:) AND you might not be able to go down stairs the next day, careful how much you do. Good luck!
Here is a shot of my daughter in the pow pow, would love to see some more of this stuff soon. I hear you all got a good storm last weekend.
Mike, are there any slopes closer to Denver that allow unicycles?
SWEEET. B )
We need to push folks, winter X games needs this sport! : D
Not that I know of, but ithink ed from the springs has ridden at copper mtn.
Nice pictures Turtle! Your brake isn’t frozen in those snowy conditions?
Magura Royal Blood specifications allow temperatures down to -15° C (5° F).
