Pictures of your latest ride

From my few days in Palm Springs. I rode up the goat trails. They were fun but some sections were too steep and I had to hike up a stretch here and there. I stopped and took a picture of Bob Hope’s house. Going back down there were some fun single track trails.

Did you know i do most of my posting from my G1?

Great Picture! Do you have a link to the news article?

I assume you are close to Medford. It looks like you have good riding in the area.

Would you recommend to goat trail? I get out to Palm Springs sometimes, but I have never brought along a unicycle.

How does it compare to trails at home?

Scott,

I live in Ashland, which is about 10 miles South of Medford. We’ve got miles and miles of car-free mountainous back roads and single track to ride on. All starting about a mile and a half from the center of town. If you’re ever up this way, drop me a line and we’ll take a tour.
Here are a couple cell phone shots from earlier this summer. The second pic has Mt. Ashland in the background.

Thank you for the offer naturequack. I have relatives in the area and get up there every few years. My recollection is of a very pretty area, but I was not looking for riding opportunities when I was last there a few years ago.

It was challenging for me (climbing). The trail is not that technical, though there are a lot of single tracks you can take that offer some fun downhills. You don’t want to go when it’s hot. It was already pretty warm at 7:00 a.m. It’s wide open so it gets hot and you need a lot of water. Trails at home are more forested and green. It’s cooler here in the SF bay area. I really like the desert though. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Another fun day in Simi Valley. Hopefully it’ll be a lot cooler this weekend, when I hit the trails in Santa Barbara!

and another wonderful day and ride from monte generoso!

Two miles later, another one caught “warming up” in the middle of trail.
