Pictures of your latest ride continued

If I had a 20" I would have some fun trying to complete the maze while on a unicycle :face_savoring_food:

Wow, did you actually get to see Big Rob? I heard he was just a shaved down Gorilla

Wow! Did you actually ride the maze on a unicycle? No hopping over walls? :star_struck:

I tried briefly but on the 29 I just didn’t have the control :frowning:

Ride from today. 4,3 km with 88 Metres of Elevation. It was a good and nice Muni ride.

only half an hour?

Yes. Why? The Wood is very close to my door.

It will be impossible to ride 88m up in NL

I’ve been mostly focusing on riding 10+ kms on the 24" and haven’t done muni or just off-roading in several years. My legs are too mushy for that.

10 km on the 24" is very good. I don’t ride long rides on my 24" Muni. But this afternoon I destroy my right Pedal from my 24" Muni in the Wood a bit. You can ride it but it’s not smooth. I’m not sure if I changed the Pedals or not. Maybe in the Future…

If the pedal is grinding, then depending on the cost and design of the pedal it either needs some maintenance or needs to be replaced.

If you just mean the scrapes on the side, that’s the cost of riding unicycles. Wear your scuffs with pride!

Unfortunately, it is slightly bent along the outer edge-you can feel ist when you stand on. I think, I’ll mout my purple Crankbrothers Stamp 1 Pedals instead. The Pedal hit the Stone…

This is a picture of my latest ride… am I being too literal again?

Let me fill in some of the blank spots in BigRob’s gravel ride…

I’ve got a couple good video clips that I need to extract, it’ll be a while though. (Disk is full, sigh.)

I don’t know how you can walk your dogs and ride. Our beagle would have nothing of that. He stops to smell everything, I would have to put my idling skill to good use.

It has been a learning process, but my dog somehow knows to keep going. He does stop to poop. I have to be on the lookout for that within the first 5 minutes, and then he doesn’t want to stop. The white dog follows my red dog’s lead (normally). This past week, the path came to a “T”, and we had the choice of going left or right. I was telling the dogs “go right. Go right.” They both went right, and then in the middle of the right turn, the white dog decided to turn around and go back left. That caused me to run into the split lead, which stopped the uni. I kept going and hopped/tripped over the lead at knee level, then somersaulted over my right shoulder. That was fun… So, a little more training with both dogs is needed. Like everything on a unicycle, you learn to overcome obstacles in stages. Next time, if there’s a next time, I’ll be ready.

In traditional dog sledding, the verbal commands used for right and left are Gee (pronounced “jee”) for a right turn and Haw (pronounced “haw”) for a left turn.

Thank you, Jim! I’ll have to change what I say. My dog currently understands “left and right”. They will learn.

No! Your other left. The other left.

Guess I am improving on freewheel riding. That is a severely out of round tire. Still rode it.

I am not skilled at jumping the gap.

Time to combine uni with rock climbing.

My ride from Sunday. It was very good and long. 22 km in this beautiful Landscape. Badly I hit a bit the ground with my Knee Pad but I crashed only my Knee Pad a bit and not my Knee, Luckly. Ride Safe and don’t hit the ground!
