Pictures of your latest ride continued

I was going to ask how the brake worked with no cable

Via bluetooth, of course

I’ll be installing the brake tomorrow. I got a V-brake ready to go, I just need to get a cable for it

That’s a really nice cargo bike, I’m ust curious why did you load your unicycle saddle down.

Thanks! I love this cargo bike - such a workhorse and fast and fun to ride and steer. Low centre of gravity really does make it fly down hills like a arrow!

So the unicycle is an awkward shape to load in any other way and fasten - stabilise with bungies -

I tried lots of different orientations and it was always pressing on one of my bags or the like and didn’t feel secure - or part of the frame was out side of the cargo bike itself or interfering with the turning arch of the handle bars.

This way up I was able to get to bungles around the fork legs attached to the cargo bike frame and tub - and then the aero bar front end hoop was perfect for lashing down with the Urban Arrow’s dedicated seatbelts.

Once I figured this one out it was perfect. The tyre grips inside the front end edge of the tub too and the hole thing is braced nicely.

Plus when I’m riding the bike I can use the unicycle wheel like a directional target :bullseye: as it remains in my field of visions all the time.

This is what the uni looks like upright so you may see why I had to stow it this way round

I’d love to see a full gallery of those travel unicycles I’ve seen here and here.

Also, that rim… :kissing_face_with_smiling_eyes::ok_hand:

Ok I didn’t realize it had your full uni packing kit on it. That all makes sense.

Ohhh that fresh green forest!
Summer is coming! To the north we are a little bit behind but we are getting there with the sunny days we have had lately.

Yes, it’s good that the Summer are coming.

Very nice weather today. 17 degrees Celsius but a bit windy. I have spent way to much time on the 24 muni so today took the 32 out for a 10km ride

My new-to-me Coker Big One got it’s first real ride yesterday, going to get ice cream! A couple of miles that absolutely FLEW by!

I’m still getting the hang of this big wheel. Most of my time has been spent on my 24" Muni, and I had just ridden a couple miles on my 19" with a friend right before, so it wasn’t my best riding. I am pretty sure I need to tilt the seat back more or try swapping out my nimbus stadium from my Muni.

Today is very hot. Supposedly 22Celsius but it deels much hotter in the sun.
Im doing A 10K on the KH26.
On the picture it looks as if there is a humungous uni behind the fence.

Your wear serious protection gear. My ride just now was just in shorts, a tshirt and my uni-shoes

Yes, that’s right. I don’t want to hurt myself and I wear most of the time serious protection gear. For me it is very important.

I rode just about 12.5 miles (20k) yesterday! That was really fun! I did a short Muni ride this afternoon, but that was very short and my legs were not 100% after yesterday’s ride. I’ve got to save up legs for a ~30 mile double-wheeled-unicycle :grimacing: ride with a friend later this week.

Swapping out the saddle and handlebar for my Nimbus Stadium and KH bar made it a TON nicer to ride long distance. My sit-bones aren’t used to the KH Fusion Freeride yet.

This little spot by the creek caught my attention.

Wow, 30 miles on a double-wheeled unicycle is quite the endeavor! :winking_face_with_tongue:

Just kidding of course… I couldn’t resist :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

EDIT:

Come to think of it… I wonder if it’s possible to use the Hoppley penny farthing forks to make a double 36er clown bike  Throw some short cranks and drop bars on it and you’ll have the world’s goofiest race bike
