Which size cranks do you use on the 24" ?
I have a 24" Club and found the 114’s to be better / smoother than the stock 127mm cranks for me as a beginner.
You seem to be flying there in the picture.
what seat is on the middle uni with the black frame?looks nice and narrow. my 10 year old daughter (who is quickly getting better than me) complains her seat rubs her thigh too much. she currently has a club kids seat put on a kh 20. that one looks narrower though!
any other suggestions appreciated, thanks!
I had a great ride in the 17th annual Timber City Adventure race yesterday. It’s an 8 mile paddle, 14 mile hilly road bike ride followed by a 5K run. I mostly muni, mountain bike and love to paddle, but don’t have a road bike so I decided to Unicycle it. I was 50/50 on my chances to finish. I’ve never ridden more than 12 miles before. I paddled pretty fast, which put me in the front of the group, meaning I got passed by nearly single racer on the cycling part. The bikers were all super awesome with supportive comments as they went by. It was a really great experience crossing the finish line (nearly dead last) with a crowd cheering for the “unicycle guy”. People are great.
Yeah thanks, I am 50 (it’s a low resolution photo ). I’m still loving your old uni. It’s got a disc brake now (rim brake went on a 24" I picked up) and I put a Racing Ralph (picked up at a swap meet for $5) just for this race because it handles the road camber a little better than the Hans Damf.
That’s amazing, geethu. Would my KH Fusion Zero Saddle work with that? Also, will the GSM codecs allow me to upgrade to disk brakes later on, or will I have to upgrade to the G.729 codec first? What about iLBC? Does that come in alternate colors?
This was my first parade on a unicycle, the July 4th parade in Arlington, TX yesterday. The route was only 3 miles, but all the riding in circles and doing other tricks really wore me out, but it was worth it. Thankfully, it was raining all morning and the weather was fairly cool, and that helped a lot. Definitely going back next year, but I think I’ll ride a giraffe instead. Those guys definitely stole the show!
Well I certainly haven’t ridden 120kms…
My summer break plan was to try to ride the Seomjingang River bike path which is about 149kms but I planned to do it in short stretches depending on how I went. At the end of June I went over to Guryegu by local bus, about 40 minutes, with the idea of riding from there down to Hadong (about 45kms)and if possible on to GwangYang.(an extra 20kms). This was my first away from home solo ride so was a bit nervous. Everything went OK but by the time I got to the checkpoint at Maehwa village I was more than happy to ride into Hadong and catch a bus home… It was an overcast day and heat wasn’t a problem…
Here are a few photos, I was so stuffed at the end I forgot to take a picture of the final checkpoint stop, cute little BPO phone boxes. (Dr Who Tardis?)
Two days of awesome riding at the Colorado Muni Weekend in Winter Park with 12 muni riders! Not so many great shots, as it wasn’t much of a photos/video group, but here’s a cool boulder feature. More riding to come in Fruita and Crested Butte!
