There are strange fish in this lake. On a bike tour, I rested on the lakeshore. I had a cold and made chchrrrrrrr to get this yellow slime up and spit it into the lake. Then fish came and ate it. I’ll never eat fish from this lake ![]()
Hmm, there is a famous fish restaurant in Lauerz. Maybe that’s what makes their fish delicious - but nobody can know. ![]()
Lauerz is btw 7 and 8 hours drive from me. Not that bad and the surroundings look real beautiful, but now you said this of the fish, I might go somewhere else instead. Yuck
where was this picture? (being born in the Pyrenees I am wondering where it was created)
It was a waymarked mountain bike route starting at Port de Castet (French side, near Laruns). If I’d had more time I would have made the downhill run from Col D’Aubisque into Laruns… maybe another time ![]()
How about Berne? ![]()
A yike and hike in the sun with the son. A 4.2 mile ride, a 1.8 mile walk and a 5.3 mile ride.
This is a mediaeval bathhouse.
I found a nice secluded spot by the Avon for a snack.
I got my phone out to take a picture of the boy on his yike and found the camera in selfie mode, so I thought I might as well take one.
I was fortunate enough to have visited Rehoboth beach in Delaware and did plenty of unicycling and bicycling. I was up and riding my 29er up and down the 1 mile boardwalk every morning before it became over run by walkers. I would then head off into the neighborhoods to look at all of the beautiful beach houses both old and quaint and new and over the top. My average morning ride was 4 miles. The picture is from the Henelopin state park where I rode the 3.6 mile Gordon pond section on my last day. It it a beautiful wet lands with a nice rolling lime stone path and a lengthy bridge over the waters. Lots of beautiful scenery and birds. Two day prior my family and I rode the entire Rehoboth to lewes bike loop which was 18 miles on bicycles.
Today it was my last Muni ride. 4,23 km amd 86 m of Elevation, the Way was very Dry. I tested my new Pedals today. There’re purple and working very well for the price of 11,30 €. Hopefully these don’t break or blend like the Reverse Escape Pedals.
Wide square pedals are very nice. Also got me very wide black ones for the 29er. The colour stands out so much that everybody can see you from a mile off. It will give them the time to find the other wheel before they get close to you.
This evening I went out with my 24” muni for 6.6km, so I beat you, not that it is a competition, but just saying ![]()
Yes, that is true. Today I ride with my bicycle 40 Km to the work and back.
Two wheelers are cheating and don’t count. Alas.
I went to work by car, about 20km
Too bad you life so far away or I would give you a ride in the car. That would give you more unicycle time
Riding the route on the 36” Unicycle would be irresponsible in my case.
Because peeps who ride 24” uni’s are too short to ride 36” unicycles?
Oh I read today that Einrad in Germany are considered bicycles and are only allowed on bike paths and the road, not on Fußwege. In NL they are considered toys and have to be ridden on pavement
Nope. I ride my 24” for fun, for Muni and the 36” with 117 mm cranks I also ride for the fun and some races.
In Germany we have some stupid rules. I ignore then and drive where I want to drive.
I ignored a speed limit of 30 kph a few weeks ago and today had to pay a fine of 30 euros for being 6km too fast. Stupid Germans. In NL they dont have cameras on 30 km/h roads
Yes, Welcome to Germany. Land of poets and thinkers. Probably also of Unicyclists.
