Pictures of your latest ride continued

did you ride the unicycle or did the dog? I can’t see from the leash, who is pulling whom.

That is the look of pure happiness and adoration. Like looking into a mirror after I get to ride my uni.

I didn’t forget mine the other day, per say, but I did leave them behind since I thought “I’m only doing road riding - I haven’t fallen on pavement in ages.” Lo and behold, I found some fun gravel to ride through next to the shoulder of the road. That was until I hit a pocket of thick sand that stopped my wheel dead in its tracks and I went flying onto my knees and caked my face in soft sand.

Will I learn my lesson? Probably not! They’re so hot and irritate my legs!

Ouch, that’s not a good way to brake…

Not exactly my latest ride, but…

Can you spot the uni?

I lent it to some random guy who pretended he knew how to ride, but he ended up having a pretty nasty UPD, as you can see :uni:f-spin:

Then, on my way back home, I had to wait for my train. After 21h or so, there’s only a train every 30mins (15mins during the day). Of course I missed my train by only 5 minutes, so decided to have a quick ride. Since it was a thursday there were quite a lot of people still hanging around in the city - the shops are open until 21h on thursdays.
This is my uni next to the federal palace:

That is usually the cue to search for a different design that would provide protection while mitigating these downsides. Have you ever tried knee/shin pads that only cover the front for example ?

Good luck nursing your road rashes. Fortunately they don’t look too deep so the annoying sensitive phase should not be long.

He’s a really smart, agile, athletic dog. But, I think riding a unicycle is out of his league. Catching frisbees, chasing balls, and running beside the unicycle? Perfect for him.

It is sometimes hard to determine which of us is leading, though. Normally, he is right beside me, or just a half length in front. However, when my wife is with us (running), that is when I get the question “Which of you is leading?”. It all depends on where my wife is. If she is in front, he is in front of me by a length or two (I use a retractable leash). If my wife is trailing behind us, he lags behind me about a length as he turns to keep an eye on her. It is a little tougher to ride when he lags behind like that. But, once we get a mile into the ride he stops trying to lead, and/or lag to watch my wife, and he stays by my side. When he runs with her, he stays beside her unless he can see the unicycle. When he can see the unicycle, he wants to be next to the unicycle.

and you never UPD’d because he sniffed something nice and went to full stop. As soon as you give a hard pull, you will pull yourself off. Reminds me a bit of a dude who wanted to give a high five as I rode past, but then he kept his arm stiff, which made me abruptly turn and lose my balance. (Note to self: never return High Fives)

Good dooog!

yeah better than me. When I see a unicycle, I want to sit on top. If someone else sits there, I push them off and take the uni for myself
I’ve always wondered why I ride alone most of the time.

My Evening Ride with the 29" Muni, 5 KM and 86 Elevation Metres but I walk all the Way up, I was a bit lazy today. It was a great ride because my Workday was not so good. There are some points in a day where you have to work you don’t want to do.

I just had to reply to this one again since I noticed your handlebar. It’s a very nice, clean setup. Where did you find the silver bar attached to the seatpost? I’m thinking I’d like to try something like that on my G29.

Nice to meet you.

The titanium stem attached to my 36-inch unicycle was purchased from the AliExpress link below:

Mine has a stem length of 260mm, and the longest available is 300mm.

I bought it at a discounted price during a sale event like Black Friday.

Thank you.

Thank you! It’s very rare to find bike stems over 150mm in length. Although, I too may want to wait for a sale.

Since I did not get to take part in the Oslo Enhjulssykkelrunde (Unicycle Tour of Oslo) this year, I decided to do my own little varient of it as part of my commute on the way into work today. Distance 23.91km [14.86 miles], moving time 1h36m, 175m [574ft] elevation gain, average speed 14.9km/h [9.3mph] (and I actually only live about 5km [3.1 miles] from my office )

Here “isbjørn” are white.

They are here to. “Isbjørn is” is an entire brand, it is not the name of this one specific product.

Im aware. Was just being a pain :stuck_out_tongue:

It was hot in Boston this weekend - nearly hot enough for New England’s icy ocean water to feel more refreshing than painful (nearly). My wife and I rode to Marblehead, defended our double decker sandwiches from gigantic and insanely aggressive seagulls, and otherwise had a lovely day at the beach
