Pictures of your latest ride continued

I don’t forgot my Knee pads when I ride the Unicycle. Most of the time I ride my bike to the work and back home. I’m working a lot and I can’t go Unicycling or the Weather is to bad. I wish i could ride a bit tomorrow.

My local ride, Ham Hill Iron Age Hill Fort and Country Park, Somerset UK. Varied terrian, gravel and earth trails, woodland trails, grass pasture disused quarry, down hill mtb runs, plenty of steep hills and things to challenge an older rider like me. Great views over the levels and Somerset. Great riding and something to challange everyone.

Since everybody loves quoting you on this. I don’t like kneepads. The bands don’t feel nice on the legs. Only ride them on the EUC, in case the electricity runs out. I should probably also wear a kneepad on my face, in case of a faceplant. I think the chance of landing on your knees with unicycling as casually as I do, is very very small. Not even a UW can land me on my knees.
But uhm what do you call old?

@MadHatchetAndy
That last picture is awesome.

@digger thats a picture of the disused quarry and standing stones, on the very top, Quarried since Roman times, but not quarried recently. Its quite the play ground if you like a few muni challenges

@Setonix Haha about 35 in my head, afraid the body is 58, so needs a little protection. This place is coverd in boulders, stones, branches and fallen trees, plenty to really hurt yourself on.
The shin and kneed pads, elbow and forearm pads are intingrated so 1 piece, its modern light weight articulated body armour, everytime I fall off, I am glad of it, and 1 dont find it restrictive.
Anytime out healing from an injury, = no unicycling for a few weeks, months.
You dont bouncy and heal so quick at my age.:rofl:

Awesome pictures! Didn‘t expect you to ride an original paint Hatchet, though… That came as a surprise.

Yesterday was my last ride 6 km with the 24" Muni in 40 Minites. It was a lazy ride.

@Wheelou Haha :rofl: Yes its the 29er Hatchet as std, but also part of the reason for the paint! It was ridden as std for sometime.
Zoom in and check out the clearence of the 3.25x29 Duro Crux tire and the headstock on the hatchet frame !!. At most it was 1.5mm and thats it.
Ir must be the tread pattern for the Duro Crux as it picks up stones, gravel, pieces of branch etc, these used to slam into the headstock at the back and either jam the wheel up or end up jammed up inside the headstock, if I rode on gravel, stones would rain down from the headstock onto the brake caliper. It had me off quite a few times. A real design fault of the 29 Hatchet.
So after a bit of ridding the headstock was beat up and chipped to the metal, plus all the chips from me falling off, a fair bit.
So one of my Hatchet mods, was changing the tire for a 29x3" and that sorted out the stone problem, but the frame did need a repaint.
0 clearence on the 29er, ? Did Nimbus not think this might be an issue for a muni uni

Tire clearance is indeed key for a muni.
That‘s an interesting rim on the fatty, by the way, with those grouped spoke holes. Don‘t see that often.

Today I ride my 36" with 117 mm cranks. I was slow, 18 km in 1 Hoir and 20 Minutes. But it was a great ride.

Jep. It changes exactly when you go from 57 to 58
Me, its 3 and a half to go …

@Wheelou the fatty 26er rim is the std Nimbus rim for the monster 4.8" tire, so will be the same on any 26" hatchet.

Your rotor moves backwards, I think. Is it because it‘s mounted to the crank rather than to the hub? Do you think it has an effect on braking performance?

Ok, I wasn’t aware of that.

Yes, I know. All my brakes moves backwards. I want to mounted my Rotor in the right direction of the bike, so the writing must be outside. The Writing is outside from the right position. For it is mounted right, because I don’t think a lot about this. The Brake is good from Magura. Magura MT7 Pro that is for me the Mainpoint of the Unicycle and not the mount of the Rotor. I know People there are mounted the tire direction in the other direction and thinking it is better than the normal Way.
