Pictures of your latest ride continued

It’s steeper than it looks, though… I only rode down.

This morning it is very nice sunny weather. I did a 15km dike route along the river. The seat was killing me by the end.

Today 19 km with 149 Elevation Meters on the 36" in 1 Hour and 26 Minutes. It was a sunny ride.

@Setonix you have to boight a better seat. I don’t have any problems with the Kris Holm Fusion One.

I had a fusion one on the geared KH, but it was too narrow. Ive since sold the geared, coz I couldnt get the hang of it

I think we should ask Strava to have a unicycling setting

My first decent distance ride on the Schlumpf (79km). I was planing to go a good bit further but I was way too tired even before I started.

I feel like a beginner with my 15km on a 24" compared to that

Don’t you like riding with handle bars on such a long distance? I never know what to do with my hands and the bars are a good home for them.

Wow! Thats around 50 miles, good job! The furthest I’ve ever gone on my uni was 2 miles, though to be fair, it was on a 16er.

This uni: hoppley 16" unicycle | Unicycle.com

the saddle handle is perfectly adequate for my use

surely on the size you ride now, you can go on a longer ride. I’ve done a few 10km rides on my 19" trials uni. It’s not about being fast, but enjoying the scenery and the feeling of the wheel.

The size ride now is 20" with 114mm cranks. Though 10 km on a 19" is pretty impressive.

or possibly silly

yeah

Before (or when) ordering a 36er, I really recommend getting 89 mm cranks for your 20". The difference from 114mm is big. It feels smooth, you can pedal with some force if you want to and it just feels so much smoother. Going a bit further is suddenly an option, unless you really hate your saddle.

On 89s you can still go pretty much everywhere and I did some light Muni with no huge difficulty. 89s are cheap, especially if you have a Cottorless 20".

Sure, but the scenery of your everyday commute gets old fast, and guessing you have 137/140mm cranks that is a rather slow ride indeed. Which can be quite meditative, I can imagine!

I dont know the crank length. It is the default length from QuAx for a trials

which is certainly too long

I finally managed to get a snapshot of the moonset over the bay down here in the Cape.
I had a good ride too.

Today after work, I wanted to practise freemounting the 36”, but the skate park I went to in the weekend was filled with kids, so I drove to the cyclepath along the river. After a few succeeded freemounts, I tried my luck riding a few kilometres away that I wouldnt feel like walking back to the car. That’s where I took this pic of the Night Rider Pro.

I should have bought a new innertube years ago. So nice that this one stays hard.

Like with the 24”, I like to shine a light on my uni’s and the sun was willing to help out again.
