Downhill day!
6200 vertical downhill meters on all different technical singletrails. Uphill mostly by cablecars, transfers from on to the other on gravel roads.
I had sore muscles like I hadn’t had in a long time…

Awesome scenery, skill and stamina! That’s a great length of selfie stick for getting big ‘distant’ shots without too much distortion - what’s the length and the camera, and are the photos stills from video?
@Maxence Today I discovered I was at Unicon! ![]()
P.S. I also unicycled over 100km on the trip this was taken from and I am pretty pleased with myself about that. ![]()
Hi,
you are a beast!
And my hero (I want to be like your when I grow up).
Greetings from Slovakia!
Ah, man – I was just walking up hoping to bump into you on the trail – maybe next time round ![]()
Sure! If you come back to Grenoble, let me know so we can ride together! ![]()
it is the insta 360 X4 with a 3 meter selfiestick (not v ery easy to ride with it…) and yes those are stills, the Reel is on my Insta account (Markus Büchel)
On the back of that I cycled another 42km (Marathon distance) today, to do a little sightseeing around Oslo.
I have taken this style of image before but still fun. It is a view from up on Grefsenkollen that looks out over Oslo. They have a frame at the top there for you to pose behind and I always just place my unicycle there and take that instead:
This is up by the Holmenkollen ski jump (as can be seen in the background)
The Monolith statue in Vigelandsparken
A view from the top of the Oslo opera house looking out over the fjord
At the end I stopped for a donut and a cool drink
@hillin I love that uni! Beautiful understated aesthetic with quality components.
Thanks! It’s my favorite one.
What tire is that?
Felt Berm Master (24″x3″). IIRC I bought it here: Stollenreifen Berm Master 24 x 3.0 reinschwarz | 71947
EDIT: I do not do a lot of Muni but sometimes I might do some. I do ride a lot of wider trails and a surprising amount of time on paved surfaces, despite the small wheel size. This works out as a good compromise/all-rounder. It has “OK” grip and yet remains pretty fast rolling. No annoying self steer or camber problems on any surfaces. If you have a 24, I would recommend it. I prefer it to the Duro Wildlife. It rolls better and is lighter (not that I would call it light either but it is lighter than that
)
There are actually a few old threads and mentions of this tyre on this forum. Here is one:
Thank you. I have a wildlife, and I’d like an easier rolling tire when this one kicks the bucket.
Please count this as one vote for the old guy on a unicycle, for next years calendar…
I love that photo, @JimT !
That is a great picture!
I made a note of that
