Glacéau Vitaminwater

Hey, just wondering if anyone drinks Glacéau Vitaminwater?

Apparently its big in America, and Australia. Now its coming Great Britian.

My friend is involved with promotions, and now I have a pack of each flavour, thats nearly 80 bottles in my yard.

Each flavour has different vitamins, and are best for different things - power, spark, revive, essential etc.

Check out www.vitaminwater.co.uk

Who uses it?

Joe,

Nothing like overpriced high fructose corn syrup cleverly disguised as nutritious sustinence to quench your thirst!!!

Amen!

Although it’s labeled Vitamin “Water,” there’s really nothing “water” about it. There is WAY much more stuff in it than just water and vitamins. There is artificial flavoring and lots of sugar in the form of HFCS.

Yeah, it tastes good, but its essentially just a sugary juice drink that’s been marketed to appear more healthy. I have one now and then, but they’re really not much better than soda (coke, pop, etc).

Remember Dasani, anyone?

it doesn’t matter what you drink, unless its just water, it has additives.

At least this has vitamins…

:D:D I like fresh juices with natural enzymes.

Here’s another one:
There is some new drink(water). It’s not mass marketed yet. Bunch of $$ per gallon. I don’t know what it’s called or what the process is but…

The pH had been increased to 9.0. ( Pure water is 7.0.) They say it makes your body more alkaline. Which reduces body inflamation.
I said ‘‘just put baking soda in the water. It would be a lot cheaper.’’ I may be missing something because I 'm not buying it yet.

  • one guy claimed it took away his gray hair. It sounds like a fountain of youth.

i may be missing something, but who has a problem with ‘body inflammation’?

I dont drink it. I get the same thing for free. The last thing ill ever buy is a bottle of water.

I don’t think Vitamin Water has anything really that good.

I don’t know much about it but I’m sure the vitamins added are synthetic. I prefer vitamins made from food. Well, actually I prefer whole, nutritious food over vitamin supplements. When I take anything at all, I take MegaFood vitamins.

From the article Ascorbic Acid is Not Vitamin C (click on the Chapters link for other articles by Dr. Tim O’Shea) –

Stay away from synthetic vitamins. They are not “better than nothing”. Also, vitamin supplements shouldn’t be an excuse not to eat properly (easier said than done).

In my opinion vitamin water is nasty. tastes like medicine to my taste buds. but my philosophy(dont think spelled that right) is you are what you eat and drink

Exactly. A more accurate name for the product would be Calorie Water.

What was so bad about Dasani? They had a problem with their production system in Britain, but this does not affect the Dasani water in America and elsewhere. Just another bottled water. Most bottled water comes from municipal supplies, not springs. Probably including Glacéau Vitaminwater though I didn’t look it up.

We have it here too, it looks sketchy though.

http://anti-inflammatory-diet is a new way at looking at eating habits. You can research more. But more companies or people will try to make money off this premise. Fancy water is one way. I believe in healthy fresh food is best, in the right balance.

But if Glacéau Vitaminwater tastes good go for it. It’s no worse than the rest of them. Take in moderation. If I drink junk, it’s Pepsi.(with a vitamin)

I love the acai+blackberry mix. Not sure if those are the right two ingredients, but I like whichever one has the acai in it.

The only thing I remember about Vitamin Water is that it’s the only caffeinated beverage our school sold.

Some of them have heaps of gurana in it, but they only tell you that in really small print (and in the ingredients) that you should only drink one bottle a day. Which is not so good when u get given a whole box for free and you’re staying in a place that only has one tap in the bathroom to drink from.

It is a rare occasion that I buy something to drink, pennypincher that I am.

“Vitamin” drinks are an excuse to, imho, pollute the body with other ingredients that will leave you worse off then you were before you drank it.
