Fluck Countdown

underline can not will win, believe me i know there is alot of great riders in europe, i would maybe say these days europe dominates street, i duno maybe

Apart from a couple greats europe seems to have wayyy more amazing riders in such a small area than anywhere else. I think that because of how spread out the riders are in North America the drive to become better at the rate that they have in Europe just isn’t there. We still strive to push ourselves but its not the same as seeing your friend land somethine then you want to land it even more.

Why not just label all the important events with world. It makes as much sense as the next. Basically whoever beats Xav becomes world champion. Though I hate titles like that. They shouldn’t exsist unless without a doubt you know that the best riders are there. I don’t mean to insult any good street riders out there, but the moment I see you hope I know your not consistent. If you were, the trick wouldn’t need a hop, since you’ve done it so often. I saw the runs from unicon, disappointed, I know, the heat, three minutes, the pressure, but still, unicycling is no where near consistent enough for an almost perfect run, world champion title should not be given, until runs are clean. And the comp was against the best riders

-Shaun Johanneson

Uhhh, Why not? Out of the people in the comp, That was the best someone could do.

No doubt that’s the best someone could do, why wouldn’t it be. The only thing is, not everyone is there. Unicon street champion, awesome title, I love it, Fluck Street champion, i love it. World, it’s not everyone. I don’t think it’s fair to leave out riders just because they don’t have the money to fly out.

-Shaun Johanneson

Hmmm, before you said the above I thought that there should be a World Champ, European champ, British/US champ but I guess UNICON 2006 champ and Fluck 2007 champ is all good too.
The argument that not ALL of the best riders are there is fair but is that ever gonna happen? In every sport, especially urban/extreme sports you can never guarantee that the World Champion that year will be the absolute best in the world. On top of that, just because someone performs well that day, does not mean that they are better than everyone else generally, my example for this would be at UNICON. Those riders used to the heat would not be affected but for us Brits and others, the heat is a major handicap and therefore rules us out from the winning.

For the reasons above, I have no problem with a World Champion being crowned.

The way we are planning to do the compatitions, is to let everybody enter.
If someone not european wins the compatition, he/she will be crowned as the winner. But we will also crown the best 3 european riders.

Sounds great.

Jason, you make wonderful points. Also the heat is a major handicap for us north dakotans, all 2 of us. lol.

-Shaun Johanneson

The one 3 five!

-Shaun Johanneson

2 north dakotans?

Keaton Miller, and Myself. Only 2 riders in ND. There are others, but not really avid riders.
